Question about HP Computers & Internet
You may have the power saving features enabled in XP. I believe it's on by default. Usually the monitor would come on automatically by moving the mouse. You can disable this feature:
Start -> Control Panel -> Switch to Classic View (if not already enabled) - > Power Options -> Change "Turn off Monitor" to never
