Question about Kodak Office Equipment & Supplies

I have a Kodak ESP-3 less than a year old. When it prints, there are bands of faded image throughout the first page and the whole page is faded as if the ink cartridge is spent (but we have replaced it twice with new ones and same result) and each page after the first gets faded even more. Any ideas on the reason?

Some (not all) of the ink-jets that spray the ink onto the paper have been clogged. Thus, what should *NOT* be WHITE on the paper remains as WHITE.

Start the Kodak Printer "utility" software, and run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle", to unclog those jets.

If a few of those cycles fail to improve things, take the printer to a qualified technician, for a more-thorough cleaning.

The print is faded . ther are three color bar missing on the test page ( yellow, black , and black).

Go into Maintenance in the Kodak Printer Management Program and try the Nozzle Check and Head Cleaning functions until the Test page prints clearly.

Head Cleaning might be necessary after every cartridge change.

Your printer's ink could be drying out before you use them up. If you leave your printer without printing for long periods of time your ink will dry out. Try to print at least once per week this will stop your ink from drying out.

Colour 'washes out' with multi page printing

follow the step by step solution from kodak.

Choose All-in-one printer and then Print quality and follow the further steps. I think it's a problem with your printhead.

Kodak ESP 3 printer does not print YELLOW


no,kodak replace printheads free of cost, and if they send a printhead and that doesnt solve issue and in next 30 days,u have same issue,then kodak sends a replacement printer. and esp-3 printers are considered o be in warranty tilll now even if they are 24 months old. kodak is the best.. ur issue will be resolved.dont worry

My Kodak ESP 5 fades when printing then will go blank even when I have ink


try copying something from the printer in standalone mode and check if the same issue or not.....if it is then try and do print head cleaning from the menu option and if still does not resolve call kodak tech support as it is print head issue and needs replacement..........if the copy comes out fine and faded print is only when trying to print from the computer then it could be a software issue

Black ink is faded


Open the kodak all in one home center on your desktop and click on [?] on top most right hand side. choose maintenance under general links and choose printhead cleaning. if this does not solve the issue, call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 and they will replace the printhead for you free of cost.

Everything that I print is faded with lines through it.


This is the same problem I have with my Kodak ESP-3 printer. Even after installing new cartridges I had faded color and lines (banding) thru the picture. I found many people wit the same problem and found out that Kodak had a very large batch of defective printer heads that were sent out with the ESP and 5500 series printers. I called Kodak customer sevice, the automated systym even has a number to push for the problem printers. Then you get a live tech person who runs you thru some diognostic steps. They are well aware of the problem and will send you a new printer head and cartidges for free and they pay the postage.

For all of those problems, you need to replace the Printhead. This is one of the most common issues among the Kodak All in One Printers, they simply stop printing text. However, it seems that Kodak is sending out some new printheads that work so much better, so you should get in contact with their support and have them replace their printheads.
