Question about E-Machines Computers & Internet
First of all I am assuming that you didn't correctly uninstall Norton in the control panel through add and remove programs right? Delete all traces of the program that you can. Do a computer search on your hard drive for "norton". You will see what is left. You will also have some registry keys that need to be removed. I suggest downloading a free program that is great called Ccleaner. Do a regular scan...then do a registry scan. Always backup your registry. Restart your computer and do it again.
Now your norton should be cleared out and you can install your other software suite. You need to make sure that dll's that norton shares are not deleted. Norton is a pain in the **** to get rid of.
Ccleaner also has an uninstall utility that may work just a little better than the windows version.
Make sure you restart. After every software change just in case.
