The convection oven fan runs constantly even whenever the oven door is closed and the oven has not been used. What is causing the fan to run constantly? Is there a DIY solution?

The fan is control from the electronic control so if it run for no reason then you need to replace the control panel. Id obvius that is the relay control but unfortunatly you need to replace the whole control.

For a professional is about 20-30 minutes. However for the first time should take twice this time.

As for the difficulty of the job, is 7 out of 10. Also this is a delicate job does not need to force anything hard since this will damage the new board. Also there some different multi wire plugs to remove and we advice to take some photos so you will have a reference in case you forget something.

We would advice to go on and do it yourself only if have done something similar in the past if not leave it for someone else who knows about it, since there is a possibility of 30% to damage also the new control board is you connect something wrong or in the wrong way.

What causes a duke E101 convection oven to not cook evenly?

If it's getting hot, but it isn't cooking as fast as normal, your convection blower/fan may be out. If you can hear the fan running, but the oven isn't getting hot enough, then you most likely have a heat element or thermostat problem.
Fan and blower problems tend to be a bit more common with convection ovens.

Some GE units were starting on their own. I would definitely unplug this oven and call GE to make sure yours wasn't one of the ones being re-called.

I have the Legacy model 3530-3630 gas/electric stove.....my problem is this: for the past few days there is what sounds like a fan running in the oven. This runs constantly whether I am using the oven...

This is the convection fan. My hearland range does this too, after power loss in the house. I cancel it by starting and then stopping convection mode. ie. hit convection (fan icon) start (running man) and then cancel (X).

Sharp 930 AK Convection/Microwave Oven

When you close the oven door the latches operate a couple of interlock switches that control power. It may be that one of the door switches is bad or out of adjustment. It's also possible that one of the door latches is broken so it's not hitting the switch. There should be two door latches. Are they both there? This oven could be fixed by adjusting or replacing the interlock parts as needed. Because of concerns about microwave leakage from an improper door seal, you should have this oven serviced by a professional.

Jenn-Air Gas-Electric Grill Ranfe with Convection Oven M# SVD48600

if possible, squat down in front of the range and put your ear as close to the bottom of the control panel/top of the door when you close it. there is a small motor that pulls the door in when you use the self-cleaning function. perhaps that motor is running all the time? its quite, more of a humm. this could explain why its locking itself. other than that, my convection oven JennAir has a small fan in the back that runs when the oven is on, regular or convections mode. you can see this fan squirel cage in the back wall of the oven. if you were to pull the range out, you will notice (atleast on mine) that there is another much smaller fan on the backside of the range behind the removable metal panel. what the smaller fan is for, i have no idea. so there are two fans, plus if you have the down draft feature, thats 3 total. hope this helps somehow.

Oven fan keeps running even after off and door open

3 to 4 hours is a long time. Get to the fans (behind the control panel) and check the screens for dust. Chances are the screens are clogged with dust and need to be cleaned so the fans can move air for cooling better. I had this problem on my GE JTP14, and after cleaning just one fan it can keep up with cooling the electronic area while the oven is running. It runs much less often.

Safety first! cut the breaker before removing anything with a nice conductive screwdriver! Hope this helps!
