Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I have a Kelvinator stackable washer and dryer made by Electrolux Model MET10412AS2 in our rental house. We are continually having problems with the dryer not drying our clothes, the dryer and the vent have been cleaned. Any idea what could be happening? Can you please advise why there is paper/cardboard in the door of the dryer it appears to be blocking the lint trap.

I have just looked at trying to remove the paper/card board - does not look like it will be easy to do. As it is a rental I am a bit leary to try and remove it. Any idea why there would be a packing material in the door?

In all my years living in Canada I have never seen paper/cardboard in the door especially as it looks like it can not be removed for cleaning or replacement - and could actually be a fire hazard. I live in the Middle East so it would not surprise me if someone forgot to remove it from the door! I will discuss it with the landlord before I remove it . Thanks for you help.

Hi,

Here is an exploded view of your dryer and as you can see there is no paper/cardboard there...
This probably was some kind of packing material that was never removed...
Remove it and your dryer will finally work!

I can't figure why it would be there, But I don't see anything on the exploded view and if it is blocking the air I can't imagine why it was left in there...
If you have the air flow blocked off then you will not be drying very well either...
Is it possible to carefully cut it out???

Typically stacked washers and dry are attached with a bracket in the back of the machine. Pull your machine out and you should see the brackets. Undo the screws and the dryer should lift off the washer.

Asko stackable dryer/Bosch stackable washer compatability

If you arer going to replace the washer with a Bosch Axxis model, it will simply plug into the back of the dryer (if it is electric) because normally the dryers are 220 VAC. Works A-OK.

you got a problem with your power supply for sure. check and make sure both your breakers are on inside the fuse box. turn them completely off and them back on(there should be 2 linked together for this unit. if that ok try to gt behind the unit and check the incoming power source(make sure wiring on rear of dryer is in tact. def sounds like inadequate power supplied to unit

Electrolux washer/ dryer dryer not heating

Actually on most models there are thermal fuses (nonresetable) that do shut only the heater down but on yours it shuts the entire machine down so it sounds like either you dont have 230v to the unit (what i mean is it is common for one line to have burned out either on the terminal block where the cord is attached or in the home wiring the washer and dryer motor will work because all that only needs one line to work) or the heater )the element) is bad. Tear down is not very easy since its a stackable.
