I think Polaroid pulled a fast one on us all. In my opinion, The tv was designed to fail in approximately 18 months. My RCA console from 18 years ago is still alive and kicking. Next time I will spend the extra buck for the quality. They won't pull the wool over my eyes again.

Check for input power in outlet. Try connecting the TV to a different power outlet you are sure works. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

The TV won't turn on. No power at the unit. Tried different outlets with no change

ensure that there is power in the mains, then if power is present then unplug the cable and check the cable plug if the fuse is burnt and replace. if this still does not solve your problem then you can open the tv cover carefully and be cautious as the tv may have not discharged fully. check the ``power in`` fuse and measure its continuity, measure the rectifying diodes and ensure all are healthy also check the power ic which should be STR series for that matter. by doing this your problem will have been solved

My tv won t turn on i just purchased it today i plugged it in and it won t turn on

Check the electrical outlet which the tv is plugged into. Make sure nothing is loose at the outlet as well as on the back of the tv where the power cable plugs in. Another thing to try is plug a different device into that same electrical outlet and see if it turns on. If it doesn't turn on, it could be a faulty electrical outlet. If you've tried both the remote & the power button on the tv, a shot in the dark would be to change the batteries in the remote.
You could always try calling their tech support at 1-800-256-2487. A last resort would be to return the tv from where you purchased it.

Electrical surge can we fix the tv?

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

My vizio 32" LCD TV will not turn on and the standby light will not come on either.

First try plugging the tv into another wall outlet, see if the one its in now is off. Make sure the ac cord is well fitted into the tv and the wall outlet. If still no power (and no warranty left on the tv) remove the back cover and check the fuse if blown replace it. If the fuse is good then the power supply board needs to be tested. If you know someone who's technically savy let me know I'll walk them through some testing steps to find the problem. Get back too me..

This is the best I can do over the internet.......

When we turned off the tv last night it was fine this morning it would not turn on it is as if it has no power . nothilng happens.

Plug something else into the outlet where the tv is plugged in to be sure that you still have power at that outlet. I like to use a hair blow dryer or a radio. If there is no power there check your electrical panel for the breaker or the fuse. Reset the breaker, or change the fuse.

Sony Bravia LCD TV is tripping the fuse in the house

These things draw a huge surge current when turned on. What size fuse are you blowing? These things can surge 10-12 amps on turn-on. What about a fuse with a reset button. They will take alittle more surge before they go. Don't matter about the insignia working before because the cheaper sets tend to stay powered up more when off....thus not surging on from a dead start. Could you try a different plug on a different circuit/fuse? and see if that makes a difference. If you have a 15 amp fuse, then your pretty close with other stuff plugged in. What size is your service? Do you still have an original 60 amp box with screw in fuses? Is it an old house?
