Croma 4GB Pendrive Writing speed 15 times less than Transcent pendrive. Why is it ?

The most likely reason is that the Croma drive is USB 1.0 while the Transcent is USB 2.0. Although both connectors look the same, USB 2.0 is considerably faster. When purchasing a USB drive, you should look on the box to see if it is USB 2.0.

Sir my 4gb croma pen drive when inserted into the system shows, its write protected. how to get it rectified..

some security or algorithm has probably been run on your drive, if you dont have very important file on it, you might want to format it, if it refuses to format use DOS. open the command prompt from your accessories and use the following command format (drive alphabet) and then : then press enter

Transcend JetFlash V60 16GB pen drive is write protected

Flash drives by default use the FAT32 file system. FAT32 has a limit of 4gb per file. So you could have four 4gb files on your pen drive, but no files bigger than about 4gb. You could use the NTFS format, but it's not suggested for flash drives since it reads/writes much more often than FAT and will make the drive lifetime MUCH shorter.

How can i remove write protect from my 4 GB transcend pen drive

Hi Virus or Trojans can run some process that keeps running in background. This not only harms the computer, but also prevents the pen drive from formatting as it shows that the drive is in use. Remove and re-insert the pen drive, don't double click on drive and cancel auto run operations if it starts automatically. Run a virus scan on pen drive, this will help fix the issue. Now format the pen drive.
