I don't quite follow you when you say "plug". There must be a specific plug like Volt male plug "20 amp to 125 volt male plug" (click here).

Or

"20 amp to 15 amp converter cord" plug (click here)

You can also try here (click here).

If those are not the items you are looking for, please let me know with more details.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

The most obvious thing is the fuse in the plug. There are no fuses inside the francis francis (at least in the model I have).

Have a Francis Magic L'Espresso X1 76015.. While it still gets hot enough to make coffee, the thermosstate reads about 59, where it used to reach over 110. Any advice please?

Is the coffee good? It's most likely the thermostat. Inside the thermostat sensor is stuck into a hole in the boiler; if it gets detached the thermostat won't work but the coffee machine will. Mine hasn't worked for years but the coffee still tastes fine.

There are two different handles made for this unit (I own an X1 and have both). Both of these handles have baskets.

First - The pod handle has a basket area that is very shallow, about 1/3 of an inch deep and the basket has very small holes.

Second - The handle for loose grounds came with two baskets, one for a single dose, and one for a double dose. Both removable baskets have the very small holes for the espresso to drip through.

You must have a basket in the handle in order to use the machine. If you try to make espresso without a basket, you'll just make a mess. Besides, the machine will never be able build enough pressure to extract espresso from the grounds.

Search the net (ebay?) for francis francis x1 handle.

Good luck

Well, to state the obvious, you should call Francis! Francis! at 1-877-854-4141 and ship it to them for repair. It's unlikely you can perform a fix yourself. Have you tried opening the machine up? I got PDFs of diagrams and part lists, which I obtained by calling them at the number quoted above. Good luck! Stephen
