Question about Bertazzoni Pro Series X304GGV Kitchen Range

Open Question

I bought my wife a Bertazzoni dual fuel stove over a year ago. The local seller wanted $150 to put the orafaces in for LPG so I did it myself. That was no challenge but since I did that, they have no interest in helping me with a problem we have had from the start. All other functions are great. However, the oven heat is uneven and often spikes. We get odd burned spots (usually back left side) on otherwise perfectly cooked backed goods. I assume this is a thermostat issue but do not know where to start. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Jay

SOURCE: have trouble starting the oven to preheat

Don't open the door(heat escapes) Turn stove wide open. There should be aboslutly no upsetting small explosions goin on at all. My first thought is the generator is weak. These systems use a pilot generator to operate the flame. If that is not it then the flame sensor itselve is wired into the mix and that is intermittant. I have no way of knowing what type of system your range uses but i can only imagine with your description. cgange the generator. that is my first thought ,it is less than the oven thermostat. the oven thermostat would be the next faulty part in the line.

the glass in the ovens should not crack when self clean is used. it could be that there was a minut crack in the glass or a build up of moisture in between to door windows that expanded at the extra heat but this should be brought up with the manufacturer for replacement.

I hope this was useful.

If it's designed to run on natural gas then usally the answer is yes but it will need to be converted the orifices for LPG are a different size than for natural gas. Trying to run it without converting is dangerous!

I have a monessen LPG fireplace and the blower motor has seemed to stop working. it has a variable rotating switch on it. dont know if anyone knows where this problem is on most models like this?

The problem is likely the fan motor for the forced air blower, which means the entire blower needs replaced. The description of the problem is the same problem we had approximately two years ago when our motor was still under warranty (less than a year old). In our case the motor was replaced without charge. However, the same problem has happened this year which is extremely disappointing since we only run the fireplace from December to April intermittently because it is only a supplimental heat source for the house. You can either look up the model number and part number and order a replacement over the web (less expensive if you are DIY and know what you're doing) or see if the local LPG supplier can repair the part or replace. Good luck.

Gas convertion

stoves have a pressure regulator as the flex line from the house connects to the stove, it's about 2 inches by 3 inches in dimension and it has a knot in the middle and one to the side of it that is to the front of it that second one you can unscrew and put that knot the other way or upside down, that's the position for natural gas, now some regulators do not have it, in that case get one that can do that,or that is for lp and natural gas. then you must close the air a little bit on all the burners the vent is located as the burner meets the valve that supplies gas to the burners. and that vent is part of the burner.
