Question about Hampton Bay 04345 Cruiser Ceiling Fan

Hampton Bay CF No Model #!!!!

I have no clue what the model of my HB CF is. It is hard-wired to the wall switch, has no visible speed control switch on it anywhere, or a direction change switch, and a round fluorescent "bulb." HB makes 1 million different fans, and it's hard to know which one I have. Your pictures are not large enough to tell. It has a rounded half globe covering the bulb, which unscrews, and the only info inside or under the bulb pertains to the bulb.

I need to download a manual for this CF! I also need to know how to change the speed and direction. Since it turns on at the wall switch and has no chain pulls, I'm at a loss.

I hope someone can help me! Thanks in advance!

I had this exact same problem at an apartment i lived in awhile back. Unfortunately, there IS no was to change speed or direction. It is a one-speed, one-way fan. Sorry for the bad news.

If you bought the switch from Lowes, most likely it's the wrong switch. Even if it looks the same on the outside, it could be different on the inside. As for the other wire, push it into the empty slot of the switch & see what happens. There has to be 4 wires in the switch. Black usually goes to L

Yes, you could, but you want have any way to control the fan speed. Unless, you install a rheostat that is rated for electric motors. A light dimming rheostat is not heavy duty enough, to handle the fan motor without over heating.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Bay Model # 526-012 Fans what size speed control

I can't see any reason why a Leviton fan speed control couldn't be used on any ceiling fan, after all, I don't even think Leviton makes ceiling fans. Second, you may be able to try using the 1.5 amp fan speed control and see if you can get by. The worst that could happen is the speed control wouldn't work or would only work for a short time and be junk.

Remote needed

If you talk to Fantasia Fan people, they may be able to help you. I've had spares from them, & they were helpful. They also supply a wall mounted, wired controller, but it needs an electrician to do the wiring. The plus with hard wiring is that it doesn't have a wireless controller pack to go wrong.

Hampton bay fan, wall mount remote control

Hello burrow31. There maybe a switch located on the fan stating 'remote/manual'. Check your manual. Remove the battiers in your remote and short out the battery contact terminals. Reinstall the battiers, start the fan and after fan has reached set speed press & hold fan speed button for one second. Still no speed change contact the Mgfr. with model & serial #.
