Unfortunately this is a very common problem as you probably know. Microsoft will repair the console for you though, please contact them at 1-800-4-My-Xbox.

First Check the batteries ,I'm sure you did this all ready.
Second is the RF module AKA ring of lights has a weak transceiver.
This module is simple to replace affter the removl of the case and
three screws on the module itself . Then just plug and play with the
new module . They cost around 10.00-20.00 from many suppliers.

Showes red light not green wont play games or anything


if all 4 lights are red that is called "Ring of Death" Xbox should warranty it. they might even if it has 3 red lights. if xbox has never been opend then they will repair it, if u are still under waranty its free if not it is around $100 for repair with another 1year warranty. to find out more info 1-800-4myxbox (1-800-469-9269) will guild you through trouble shooting problems.

3 red lights is also known as the "Red Ring of Death". If you've had you're 360 for less than 3 years, MS will replace it for free. Just call their hotline and set up the repair request.

Xbox 360 reading games as DVD


If it's in warrenty Microsoft will fix it. Log on to there website and go to servicing and fill out all the info they ask for then it will tell you if its in warrenty and they will mail you a box to send it in.

can you explain more It could just be that the T.V is not matching the system correctly just take it to a shop and ask for the GUI system Check then ask for repair If something is clearly wrong.
