Focus lighter fuse is located beneath the glove's compartment.
Open glove's compartment, the sides of the drawer can be bend a little, so the compartment will fold towards you completely exposing what is under the panel and beneath the compartment.
The fuse is there, it seems to be 15A (15 ampers).

many people encountered this problem but it seems that the only solution is to open it and replace the FUSE or if you don't have money, Solder the place where the fuse goes in together.

This is the fuse location if you prefer to fix it by your self

I've fixed one before. It is so easy to do as long as you don't mess with any other thing there

Tip

DS Lite stopped working. Green/Orange light Flicker On then Off.

Hi,

Has your DS lite stopped working? does the green/orange light momentarily stay on? Here are a few tips to help you on your way to repairing your DS lite.

These are the three top reasons for the above faults:

1) One of the screens is either not correctly connected or has devlouped a fault... If one of the screens flickers after you switch it on and just before the green light goes out then the screen that doesn't flicker is causing the problem, firstly try reconnecting it and if that doesn't work you will have to replace it, both screens are avaliable for a reasonable fee on ebay, search for either "DS lite top screen" or DS lite bottom screen".
(if you need help with replacing the screens check out my other tips and tricks I have issued on here).

2) Locate the inductor labled "L2" if this is missing then you will need to either solder it back on if you can find it or else you can buy another one again on ebay for a reasonable fee, search for "DS lite L2".

3) If both the above fail then chances are you have blown a fuse, if you can charge the DS then it is not your "F1" fuse in which case you will only need to replace the "F2" fuse, firstly desolder the old fuse and then solder on the replacement fuse, this should solve the issue. If however the charging light stays on for a very brief time (i.e 1-2secs) then you will have to replace the "F1" fuse, locate the "F1" fuse and follow the sames steps stated for the "F2" fuse. These fuses are also found on ebay, search for "ds lite fuse" and buy the quantity you require.

If you don't have access to soldering equipment or are unable to solder these very small parts (i.e fuse dimensions - 1.5 mm x 0.8 mm and the "L2" inductor dimensions - 2.5mm x 1.8mm x 1.8mm) The is a product called wire glue which is avaliable from ebay (located in the USA) which is fantastic as it is a glue with conductive properties.

You may find guides that tell you to "bridge" the fuses and "L2" inductor but I would strongly advise against this, afterall they are there for a reason and just think what damage would have happend if that fuse hadn't have blown.

Here is an image for the location of the fuses, also if you look just under the power switch you will see the "L2" inductor:

I hope this helps and have to say that I accept no responsability for any damage that may occur to your DS lite when following these tips.

When i put my ds charger in it gose red for one second

Hi,

Sounds like your F1 fuse has blown. This fuse is located inside the DS lite and is very small (the longest side being less than 2mm long).

I would suggest that if you have a warranty that you send it off.
If you don't have one then there are plenty of repair services avaliable on the internet such as ebay.
If you have the skill and time to replace the F1 fuse yourself then there are a few items you will need:
A soldering iron ad solder,
A replacement SMD 0603 1A fuse (ebay have these, search F1 or F2 fuse),
A triwing screwdriver (found on ebay, search DS lite triwing screwdriver).
A precision crosshead screwdriver.

If you would like a guide on how to dismantle the DS lite and the location of the F1 fuse then click on my name and you will find the relevant guideson my profile page.

If you need any further help or advice please feel free to contact me.

If i press power on the blue led flashed and the dsi doesnot be swich on and the led is light out

Sounds to me like a blown fuse. I fixed the same problem on mine by replacing one. You can tell if a fuse is broken if there is no continuity across it. There are tutorials online, but the fuses are smaller then the letters in this sentence, so soldering them on takes some skill. It also involves opening your system and voiding any warranty you may have.
Also note that the linked tutorial is not for the dsi specifically. There is one fuse in a different location on the dsi then on the ds lite. If you choose to attempt this repair, I can walk you through it.

Nintendo DS Lite - trying to recharge it, been plugged in most of the day. I have noticed that the red LED is flashing when the DS is connected to the mains, is this normal?

Hi,

This is down to a number of possabilities:

1) Give the Battery terminals a bit of a clean up by either using an alcohol solution such as white spirit or scratch them clean with a small sharp knife or scalpel.

2) Try another battery - Rather than going ahead and buying a new one first see if you can borrow one off a friend or family member for a few seconds.

3) Try a different charger - Again, rather than going ahead and buying a new one first see if you can borrow one off a friend or family member for a few seconds.

4) Your fuse/s may have blown - You need to have fairly good soldering skills as the fuse you will be replacing is tiny (1.6mm x 0.8mm). You can buy the fuse you need from ebay (do a search for ds lite fuse). Take your ds lite apart and locate the "f1" fuse (here is a link to the pic of the fuse location: http://m3wiki.com/index.php/Image:Usgcpu01fuses.jpg ). Remove the blown fuse by de soldering it and replace it with the new fuse and solder it into place, once this is done you can put your ds back together and test if the charger now works... if it does work but the ds will not switch on you will have to also replace f2 (also shown on the picture).

If you want a more detailed explaination for the replacement of the fuses do a google search for "ds lite fuse replacement2 and you should get plenty of guides show up.

Some people say just to bridge this fuse if its blown but i'm strongly against this, the fuse is there for a reason and if you bypass it more serious damage can occur and that will be far more costly and dangerous.

Hope this helps and like to say I accept no responsibility for any damage that may occur whilst using my advice.

Ds lite doesn't switch on, yellow light flashes once

As far as I know there is no fuse in the DS. Try booting them without any games in them. Also, try checking the batteries for water damage. There should be a small white label about 1/8th inch square on it. If the label has pink dots then there was no water damage however if there arent any dots its very possible that it could be water damage

Fuse location on nintendo ds lite

Bottom screen flashing and the unit shutting down is more like a broken top screen or ribbon problem.

The fuse problems usually blink the amber light in your DS each time you connect the charger.

And I am sure you will find a guide looking in google for it, just as I did and there are plenty.
