Try reseating the ink cartridge. Maybe, the cartridge is not seated properly.

Here are the simple steps:

1. Lift the control panel by holding the panel along the top edge.
2. Pull the control panel forward.
3. Lift the ink cartridge access door. for better access, stow the document input tray away. the carriage will move to the center.
4. Then, try reseating the cartridge. Hold the ink cartridge by the black
areas or colored top only.

Good luck,

Ryan

How do I access the ink cartridges in my Cannon iP100?

Lift the top cover, which turns into the paper feed tray, and the front cover, which hides the output slot, drops down.
There's a second top cover, which presents the means to access the twin ink cartridges.
Open this second top cover when the printer is on, and the ink cartridges will move over allowing you to access them.
Hope this helps!

Printer stopped printing; amber teardrop is flashing; no paper jam; cartridges should not be empty. Shouldn't there be a notice of low ink before it just stops printing? Or, the printed pages be faint? All...

The top access door on the printer might be open, or there might be something wrong with the print cartridge.
  1. Check to make sure that the top access door is firmly closed.
  2. If the light continues to blink, open the top access door. When the top access door opens, the print carriage moves so the yellow arrow on top of the print carriage points to a drawing of a cartridge inside the cover. Each drawing describes a symptom.

How do you manually position the ink unit. i.e. when an ink colour has NOTrun out when it asks for a replacemnent and on commencement of this the inks are positioned to allow top to be opened.

You can always open the top..?
The ink tray should move towards a spot where you have access to the cartridges once you open the lid.
Read the owners manual.

How do I access the ink jets?

You must open up the printer. The lift point is in the front between the paper output and glass scanning surface. You should see and indent there . When you lift it up (it does weigh a slight bit), the printer heads should move to the access position. There is a lever on top of each cartridge to unlock it front the carrage.

Purchase the ink cartridges from a store or www.kodak.com. Open the access panel to where the ink is. Remove the old ink cartridge by pushing up on the bottom tab. Put the new ink cartridge in the slot and push down on the top tab. The ink cartridge should snap. Close the access panel and you should be good to go.
