Question about Mitsubishi VS-6041 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi VS-6041 60 in. doesn't power up

When I plug the TV in, I hear a couple clicks. I go to press the on/off button and hear another click, no picture. The screen stays black, it doesn't power up.. No "Warming up" noises. I press the on/off switch again, same single click. I unplug the TV and hear one last click. Any clues?

Hello Tremulant

This denotes a possible problem with the Low or high voltage power supplies. The clicking you here might be the shutdown circuit acting because of excessive draw of current. The problem will most likely be associated with the HV power supply, but you will have to have a qualified TV technician check your TV to make sure.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

The power supply will need to be changed. The capacitors inside the power supply are not sending the correct amount of power to tv and will need to be changed.

It just click ON and OFF, right? If you hear the hight voltage noise tring start, may be the Tv has bad vartical IC or regulator IC. If you have no experience with electronic you will need a technician to halp you.
