Question about Toshiba Satellite A100-S8111TD Notebook

Formating my laptop

Hi,
I'm trying to format my laptop (satelliteA100-sk8) I have all the data I don't want to delete on drive D so I just need to erase all data on drive C. Using the recovery DVD I am asked if I want to do erase the default partition. Is the default partition the C drive? and if so, does that mean my D drive will be untouched?

Thank You

Yes the default is C... and No it wont remove D as long as it is a true Partition, and not a "virtual" drive.......

Lost data due to battery failure. can i recover data

Don't worry. You definitely can get your data back. You can have a try on Data Recovery for mac which can recover all files that are lost, deleted, formatted or inaccessible from multiple devices on Mac. If you are running a PC, photo recovery for Windows is just needed, which enable you to recover not only photos, but also video and audio files.
Good Luck!

Don't be panic. you can try some format recovery software. You can see
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/
It tells the steps how to perform data recovery.

If above does not work, you may have to format the hard drive (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the hard drive and recover your files.

I formatted my USB drive (Memorex 1GB) accidentally causing the loss of software and its whole system what should I do to get all that?

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in USB drive erased permanently.

Those deleted data is still stored on the USB drive , it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those data are not overwritten by new data, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try this format recovery software called asoftech data recovery, which can recover data after deeply scanning your USB drive to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted.

Memory card formatted but data not deleted

Try not using Quick format. Format doesn't delete data it just removes the index from the filing system so you don't see it and the computer can write on top. Google "delete data free program" on WWW and download a proper programme that deletes the contents of the card and then try formatting - you'll get better results.
GOOD LUCK

I just formatted my Sony laptop but after restarted it, the recovery tools appear. It won't go even after I restarted it few times. I can't even get to windows. Please help me!!

If you have formatted your laptop that means that any data that was on your hard drive is now deleted

a format means to delete the master file record which keeps a log of which files are where

so windows has probably been deleted, the recovery tools are usually found on another partition on the drive, if you don't have a Windows disc to use to reinstall windows, i suggest you follow the prompts in the recovery console to re-image your laptop to the factory default

Repair harddisc have data change from ntsf format to fat

If you in fact formatted your HDD you need to take the drive to a drive recovery center or get the tools to hook the drive up to a working laptop/desktop and use recovery software like Ontrack Recovery Manager.
