I would not put any valuable discs in the Wii until you get this fixed. It sounds like the cd is rubbing against the reader, and unless you want something like this to happen, be careful. Putting a blank cd in there to test if you fixed it is the best option, because quite frankly, you can afford to lose those.
The only solution that I can offer you, and I'm sorry that this is all that I can do, would be to smack the side of the wii firmly but gently. If something is barely out of place, this usually does the trick. It may seem like a stupid idea, but there is a reason that this is the first thing people do; it works. Tell me how it works out, and I'll research a legitimate solution for you in the meantime!

The Wii console makes a loud noise as the disk spins

Hello There Jwillie,

I believe you are inserting the disks upside down. Also make sure your Wii console is in the upright position.

When a disc is inserted into my nintendo wii, the following message appears, "Unable to read the disc". This message appears when I put any game disc into the console.

Next time you insert a disc, listen to it and see if you can hear the disc spin. If it is spinning, you may be able to clean your laser with 93% rubbing alcohol. If you are afraid to do this, or your system is still under warranty, call nintendo and see if they will replace it for you. If you try the alcohol and it doesn't work, you will need to have your drive replaced. Check craigslist in your local area, someone there might be able to fix it for you. If you have the ability or know how to open your wii, you may be able to fix it yourself. You can buy the drives off of Ebay, and it is merely undoing some screws, and un-clipping the connections on the drive, and swapping them. Hope this helps!

My Wii will freeze and make a buzzing sound during a game.

Hello sir, hi!. the buzzing sound could be the spindle motor that spins the disk got loose. If the WII is on warranty, bring it back to your dealer for replacement.

Spinning cycle sounds like it is rubbing against something

I take it there is a loud noise while in the spin mode.
That normally means your bearings x2 and seal need to be replaced. Truthfully it needs to be done by an appliance tech.

Crunching sound after disc inserted and it starts spinning. then screen reads "error occurred, eject disc..."

there mite be something jammed inside the disk drive take a look inside to see if theres anything inside if so just pull it out with something long and thin that dosnt conduct electricity.

Wii fit plus game disc will not load up - it is a replacement - it seems to run and then stop and the 'please insert disc' message comes up - any ideas please?

Your laser reader inside of the Wii is either dirty or needs to be replaced. Try cleaning it with the following wet lens cleaner (NEVER use dry cleaners on Video Game Systems - it can ruin the laser). If this doesn't help, your laser or DVD drive inside of the Wii may need to be replaced. The same website sells the parts if you need it -- but if the disc is reading them stopping, it may just be a dirty laser lens:

Wii disk won't spin

Hi, this will have to be repaired by Nintendo unfortunately. there is a relay switch that initiates the spinning of the disc when it is inserted all the way. this switch also has a sensor telling it to initiate the play/run option. all of this is automated and if either one of these important devices are malfunctioning, it will cause the Action's you are witnessing.
