Is it for a Parkinson Cowan DSIG456WN cooker? In any case fist you will need to check the wiring. Check for any loose wire or overheated wire which probably has a black dust near it or even a rusty contact at the end of a wire. If you find any of the above case then reconnect and fix the wire connector.

If everything looks fine then you need to replace the spark generator.

We have here a link where you can find one.

On a goldstar microwave oven model mv-1500mg, after pressing the light button, there was a bang and then no power to anything. I have checked the electrical outlet and there is no problem. Thanks for your...

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

Model:JVM1631WJ03 Serial: RH900768U How complicated to replace inside bulb. I am a female senior and greatly miss having that light. Also where to purchase that bulb?

It's pretty simple.

It's covered on page 33 of the service manual found online here.

You can pre-order bulbs by entering your full model number (JVM1631WJ03) here.

1 To replace the oven light,
first disconnect the power
at the main fuse or circuit
breaker panel or pull
the plug.

2 Remove the top grille by
taking out the 2 screws
that hold it in place.
See video here.

3 Remove the charcoal
filter (if present) to
access the light cover
(see Remove Charcoal
Filter section).

4 Remove the light cover
located near the center
of the oven that holds
the bulb. Remove the
bulb by gently turning.
Replace with the same
size and type bulb.

5 Replace the light cover
and charcoal filter
(if present).

6 Replace the grille and
screws. Connect electrical
power to the oven.

I have a kenmore stove whose burners wont light. oven works fine. burners will spark but no gas comes out. recently I turned off the power to the stove by turning the fuse off. what do I need to do to get...

If the gets give no gas then sounds like a Thermocouple, this is a device that allows the gas to come on after a period of time ensuring that the pilot is lit and heated up this thermocouple, once it heats it then allows gas to enter and ignite the main burner..hope this helps ,please leave feedback.

Hamburger in foil wrap put in microwave - shorted unit out

Hi- The first thing here is safety. If the power supply is good- 120v at outlet- then address the fuse in the cabinet. Open door, remove screw(s) holding control panel, and tilt out panel. Fuse should be visible. Check for continuity. If bad, replace with 15amp appliance fuse. Plug in and check for operation. If fuse blows again, unplug and start looking at a new microwave. Let me know if this info helps. Have more if needed- Thanks- Ed

APPLIANCE HAS INTERNAL 8 AMP SAFETY FUSE IF THIS HAS BLOWN IT WILL NEED MAJOR REPAIRS AND POSSIBLY COSTLY THIS FUSE ONLY BLOWS IF FAULTS EXIST WITH HIGH VOLTAGE SIDE OF APPLIANCE SO NO NOVICE SHOULD ATTEMPT A REPAIR.

Jenn-Air Microwave - no power

Had the same problem. Removed the unit (snapping off the upper and lower trim rings was a chore but they do snap off) and tested the power. Plug behind the unit was good. Pulled the cover and checked the thermal fuse with ohm meter. No good. Replaced fuse, microwave would run for a second, then light goes dim and it buzzes, then it blew the fuse. Per above suspected Capacitor. Changed that, and we are back up and running. Thanks!!

Flash and Bang on Closing Door

Since you know that the bulb is blown that needs replaced. I would go ahead and replace the bulb and see if it works. I doubt that it will. If not unplug the unit and remove the exterior case. Locate the secondary fuse and replace it with the same size and rating. Plug in and try but be prepared as it may do the same thing again. I am not sure what you mean by 'lay up' your unit. If it was not running (heating) it should not be the magnatron. Sounds like the bulb blew taking out the fuse which would cause the other problems you described following the flash. Good luck.
