I have a hp photosmart m537 digicam and I have a problem loading the pictures taken to the computer. When I connect the digicam to the pc, a dialog box says "usb device connected cannot be recognized". How am I going to solve this? Thanks

Have you considered NOT connecting the camera to the computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Try using a card reader instead of the camera.

Photosmart M537 Camera, when I take pictures they show up as a ghost like picture in the view screen, with horizontal lines, but if I take the picture inside it comes out but not real clear.

Try adjusting the Contrast on the on screen menu because it sounds like either the exposire is set too high or if your pictures come out OK when you play them on a computer the contrast is too high.

Hope this helps

Can my hp photosmart m537 be used as a webcam, and if yes how?

No. The m537 was designed as a camera, storing images (and videos) to a memory card, not to stream live video to another device.

That probably wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

How do i take the card lock off of my photosmart m537" i turn the camera on and when i go to take a picture the screen says... card locked .. how do i take that off?

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
