This is the navigation upgrade you are looking for here:

http://www11.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/personalisation/tequipment/cayenne-1stgeneration/audioandcommunication/navigationupdate/

It is part # 955 044 902 61

You will want to get this directly from a Porsche dealer otherwise you risk getting the wrong software and completely disabling your navigation software. If you can find it online you can get it as well, but be absolutely certain it's that exact part number. It is much safer to go through an authorized Porsche dealer.

Thanks so much,

Tim G

I now have a windows 8 how can I get it to work?

Have a look at the original instructions to see which operating system the software will work with. It should also tell you on the installation disc. If it doesn't mention Windows 8 you might have a problem. You can also visit the Microsoft website to see if your version will work with Windows 8. Or go to the help screen on windows and type "software won't run in windows 8".
You can also visit the software makers website to see if they have a solution.

2005 Mercury Mountaineer with DVD Entertainment System that will not read disk

The data on the DVD map disc ages at a rate of 15-20% per year. As the data ages, the functionality of the navigation system declines. Offering GM customers new navigation DVDs will ensure that the customers have the latest information for their system.

General Motors offered a Navigation Disc Update Program for alot model year vehicles. This program concluded on December 31, 2009. The DVD Navigation Update Program policy has changed and customers are no longer eligible for free annual updates, however, a navigation DVD update disc can be purchased for $199 (USD) + shipping.

If the navigation disc is needed for a warranty situation, the disc can be purchased for $120 (USD). The dealer must provide a VIN and RO# XXXXX qualify for the reduced price. The dealer must call the GM Navigation Disc Center, as this option is not available on the website.

The GM Navigation Disc Center launched on March 15, 2006. There are two ways to obtain an updated disc:
* Via the web through gmnavdisc.com
* GM Navigation Disc Center 1-877-628-3472

Technical Service Bulletins are sometimes generated to address specific navigation radio operational or performance issues. When a navigation radio bulletin is issued, it may contain instructions to utilize an advanced vehicle navigation (AVN) software update with a specific part number. GM dealers must order advanced vehicle navigation (AVN) software update discs as directed in the specific bulletin.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

I just got a new computer with Windows &, when I tried to install my Label Factory Deluxe it said it was not compatible with the software version. Can you help?

That version was not designed for Windows 7 or 64bit operating systems. As to what to do with the discs, that is up to you. The only thing I can suggest is that if you need to use that version of the program, you will need to install it on one of its supported operating systems.

In regards to an upgrade, there is no "upgrade" for that program. There is a newer version of the program. However, it is a full program and not an upgrade for any prior version. So, it does not require the prior version to be installed in order to install the new version.

I have not seen any problems opening the prior version's files in the newer version. The only thing that may need to be done is re-map fields if you created a database in the program.

You should be able to purchase the newest version of Label Factory from the Nova Development site or at various retailers.

Hope this answers all your questions Please remember to Rate/vote for any solution that helps you out. Leave a comment if you need more help. Thanks for using Fixya

I have the 8 disc set (mac version) purchased in the year 2000 working with OSX 9. Now I have a new mac with snow leopard version OSX 10. I would like to use the disc's with the new computer, what do I do?

Unfortunately the software will not work with OSX. OS9 (also refered to as classic os) had some compatibility with macs up to 2005 when Apple changed the processors in macs to Intel. Since then all OS9 software no longer works.
There is a small chance you may be able to browse/search the CD's folders for images as the photo objects may be in jpg/gif/png format. Try opening finder, select the CD. and search with the text box in the upper right corner in Finder.

Nero 7 premium how to make compatable with windows 7

Hi ,
Nero 7 is not compatible with 64-bit systems . However , it works fine in all existing windows 32-bit systeme , even under Windows 7 .
If you have purchased the W7 install discs , you will notice that the box includes two dvds , one for 64-bit , the other one for 32- bit systems .
If you can't succeed or don't want to install a 32-bit version of W 7 , you' ll need to upgrade to and pay for Nero 10 .
Regards .

HOW DO YOU UPDATE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM?

if your nav is dvd based you will need to purchase a new disc from the manufacturer, also like with Mercedes you will probably need to have your computer eprom updated to read the new disc, If you have a newer car, it is usually good for a least one upgrade at no cost. (that is how GM does it anyway)

QB pro 2005 and Internet Explorer 8

As with all evolving software (as the well written ones are), as you update one you'll invariable need to update others. If you want QB Pro 2005 to work properly, you'll have to contact Intuit for any patches to their software to make it compatible with IE8. I suspect that Intuit would rather sell you an upgrade to their most recent version of QB Pro (hence lightening your wallet substantially). If there's functionality in IE8 that you absolutely HAVE to have, you'll probably be stuck paying for the QB Pro upgrade. Otherwise, you can simply stick with IE6 or 7 (as you've already reverted back to). Sorry there's not a better answer.

I had purchased software off the internet on another computer. I now have a new computer and need to put the softwaer on it

Hi-

Did you upgrade the operating system for your new computer? try to check the compatibility and if its compatible just install it on you new computer using the disc or software for the program. if you don't have a disc, try looking for a trial version and put it in the serial number that you have when you bought it.

Hope this helps
