Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Your screen probably is dark and has the Windows Genuine Advantage message. You may need to reinstall a genuine windows software to resolve this, but in the mean time you can remove windows genuine advantage message by installing RemoveWGA 1.2. Go to this site http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/RemoveWGA.shtml
to download it. Install it and you will have your computer running well again.

i think the operating system has been updated by u(knowingly or unknowingly) and the operating system is not original(pirated/cracked).
Buy an original one or use an oem version if u have got with ur machine.
The best method will be to format and reinstall the operating system and not update it.

Im victim of software ounterfeiting.

Call Microsoft, at 1-800-R-U-LEGIT, and tell them where you purchased the computer, if that computer-store sold you a computer with a "bootleg" copy of Windows pre-installed. Microsoft prosecutes those computer-stores that are involved with "bootleg" software.

Then, follow the on-screen instructions to purchase a new license-key for Windows XP, using your credit-card.

Follow the on-screen instructions, and use your credit-card to make an online purchase of a valid license-key for Windows XP Professional.
Or, purchase a copy of Windows 7, and install that software.

I GET ON START UP I MAY BE A VICTIM OF SOFTWAREcounterfeiting

Hello,

The Problem:-When you use a non-genuine copy of Windows XP, you will find the following notification error message:-

“This copy of Windows is not genuine. You may be a victim of software counterfeiting."

To stop this annoying pop up do the following:-

If you are using XP Home, then open Task Manager and stop wgtray.exe.
If you are using XP Professional then enter into the Safe Mode and stop wgtray.exe.

Now delete the wgtray.exe from the following locations:-
i]C:\Windows\System32
ii]C:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Now do some tweaking in the registry:-
Start>Run>regedit>OK

Now naviagate to the following location:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\… NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify and delete the entire folder WgaLogon ,close the registry editor and restart the system.

After restarting scenario:-

After the restart if it again prompts to reinstall those services then:-

Start>run>msconfig>ok
Click Services tab and uncheck from there.Apply and restart.

Note: If the copy is illegal, it won't cause you any problems. You'll only have a problem when you try to download Microsoft Updates, which aren't very often anyway. So if you want to download Microsoft Update then buy a license software.

Thanks

If she's stealing money from you, contact the police and then your credit card companies.

If you know who this person is, and have proof of it, send the police to her house, and get them involved.

They're the only ones that can stop this sort of thing.

Just be sure you have valid proof, otherwise she can sue you for slander if it turns out that she's innocent.

This means the Windows Validation Tool has checked your installed copy of Windows and has found it to be a non-genuine copy. This means the product key is non valid.

Where did you get the PC? If a "friend" installed Windows for you then he is using illegal product keys.

If you are sure your Windows is genuine, you need to telephone Microsoft and fight it out with them.

The Windows Genuine Advantage tool runs from Windows Update automatically, & has been know to generate a "This copy of Windows is not genuine" error on legitimate Windows XP installations. On systems that are getting this message
navigate to the weblink below, & run the manual WGA validation to resolve the issue.
http://tinyurl.com/o2ttp or http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/RunHTA.aspx?displaylang=en&sGuid=725c996c-9dab-45a4-abc8-1f255ee87724&page=validate Once run, the error message should not re-occur.
