Make sure that you have it threaded right and that you have a long enough tail,at least 3-4 inches. If, that is not it, try totally rethreading and a fresh needle. Also, make sure you are using the same weight thread top and bottom. Check out your manual, on www.singerco.com for free, and enlarge your threading diagram, if these thoughts do not work out, it may be your timing is messed up. That requires a professional not a do it yourself job.

How do I get my Elna 7000 to sew as when I thread the needle and start sewing - the thread is somehow pulled out of the needle?

If you haven't already, install a brand new needle. Be sure to use good quality thread--no old stuff or bargain bin variety.

Remove all the thread from the machine.

Raise the needle until it is at the highest point it will reach before it begins to lower.

RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning--verify the thread path is correct. Pull at least 5 inches of thread tail through the needle.

Check that the bobbin is installed correctly.

Set the upper tension to somewhere around the midway point between high & low number.

Pull the bobbin thread to the top of the fabric:

When you begin to stitch, gently hold both thread tails with your left hand and begin stitching slowly to start.

Keeping the thread in needle when you begin to sew

after threading the needle pull about 6" of thread out the back under the press foot
that way the thread is jammed under the foot and is held in place for the next thread
bobbin thread should also be out the back
when you have finished sewing then lift the foot and move the material sewed about 6"" away from the foot before cutting the threads

The top thread does not pull up the bobbin thread

Is the bobbin thread through the needle eye? If not then it needs to be there. The top thread doesn't pull it.

Threading a needle

1. Turn handwheel toward you 2. Raise presser foot up 3. Pull thread from spool and pull taut under each tension disk. It's important to "feel" the "click" if you are new to threading machine 4.Make sure after all tension disks threaded that you put thread behind the slot in back of your needle. It's a little groove to hold thread securely. 5. Pull thread toward you 6. Thread needle eye front to back 7. Pick up thread under gently pull taut in front of you 8. Lower presser foot and turn handwheel toward you. A loop will form under the needle where needle thread has picked up the bobbin thread. Carefully take both threads that have made a single loop and pull toward you 9. Put threads under presser foot just lift put threads under and pull 5 -6 inches thread BACK and UNDER that presser foot Done! Hope this helps, my friend! Jimmy

Dont no how to work the autmatic theader

You haven't said what make and model but on my Janome 6500 the auto needle threader is a little plastic piece that you pull down on the left of the needle bar. You pull it downwards and it swings over and a little hook comes through the eye of the needle. Now pull your top thread down in front of it and then to the right against the bottom of it. This brings the thread across the front of the needle and the little hook. Let the threading device go and it should pull back out of the needle and upwards again, taking the thread with it and through the eye of the needle. Now, just disenage the thread from the little hook and you should be ready to go.

Most needle threaders are some variation on this, a little wire or hook that comes through the eye from the back to front, so you can introduce the thread into it, then pull it back through the needle eye.

Of course you can always remove the needle from the needle holder, and thread it with a little manual needle threader in the same direction, insert it from the back, put the thread into the wire loop, then pull it back through the needle eye. Then put the needle back into the needle holder flat shank to the back, if your machine doesn't have this feature. Most multi packs of hand sewing needles will come with a little metal needle threader which often just sits there unused.

I hope this assists you with your machine.

How do I theard the needle on the 5050C singer machine?

does the machine have a needle threader? first if so, pull it down and put the thread behind the left side of the threader and loop the thread around toward the needle then go behind the finger of the threader hold the thread back against the needle and slightly pull upwards pull the threader forward and gently let go with the right hand of the thread and the needle will pull the thread through, second if the machine doesn't have a threader, the easiest way to thread a needle is to buy a needle threader, it is a device that you put through the eye of the needle and put the thread through its hole then just pull the threader back out and the needle is threaded.

Bobbin thread tangling up

are you doing embroidery? if so turn off jump stitch cutting if possible. is the machine threaded correctly (pull needle thread out of machine and thread again with presser foot raised.

check for foreign matter in needle tension assembly. ensure there is sufficient needle thread tension.

the thread you see caught up underneath the fabric will be needle thread and indicates insufficient needle thread tension or something preventing the needle thread from being pulled up into the fabric (maybe a damaged bobbin case, or bobbin case position finger, or damaged needle plate hole).

Threading a husqvarna huskylock 1001L serger

Solution taken from "Handbook for Huskylock Sewing Machine Models 1001L/1000L/1000"

1. Raise the presser foot by using presser foot lever. When the presser foot is raised, the two thread tension discs in the thread tension control panel are released so that thread passes freely between them. Otherwise thread tension may not be correct.

Important! When threading the needle, always be sure to lift the presser foot lever, and also take care to thread in the proper order.

Threading order:
1. Upper looper thread (green)
2. Lower looper thread (blue)
3. Double chain stitch looper thread (purple) in case of 5 thread stitch or double chain stitch
4. Right needle thread (red)
5. Left needle thread or double chain needle thread (yellow)

Caution!
Because the left thread tension dial (yellow) is used for either the left needle or the double chain stitch needle, these needles will never be used at the same time.

Upper looper (green) sequence:
1. Thread holder (silver triangle openings attached to thread holder stand)
2. Thread guide (flat silver clips just behind thread tension disc)
3. Thread tension disc (circular knobs with numbers for tension setting)
4. Pull thread around upper looper guide and upper looper
5. Pull thread into hole of upper looper

Lower looper (blue)
Repeat 1, 2, 3.
4. Pull thread around guide (see color coded chart inside front serger cover).

Easy threading mechanism (for lower looper)
1. Pull out the lower looper threading lever
2. Thread the lower looper and position the thread on hook of the lower looper
threading lever.
3. Push the lower looper threading lever back to its basic position while
holding the end of the thread.

Caution:
When returning the lower looper threading lever, always make sure that the two
blue triangle marks (directional arrows) meet each other.

Right needle thread (red)
Left needle thread (yellow)
Important: Thread the needles after threading of lower looper and upper looper.
First raise the presser foot lever, and then thread the needle threads in order shown in color coded thread guide.

Threading a machine manually

all machines thread the same. TTN tension, take up, needle.
Beginning with the spool, guide the thread through the thread guides to the tension assembly. Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.Industrial needle shave no flat side. You need to find the long groove on the needle and insert it so that it is on the left.Thread the needle left to right. Draw up your bobbin thread and begin.
