Question about Dynex Enhanced Wireless-G USB 2.0 Network Adapter

Installed software unit not responding

Icon does not appear in toolbar

    I actually had installed it and it worked. Then, I unplugged it to move it and now it will not work. The light will not come on, but my USB outlets are working fine with everything else.

Uninstall and make sure you disconnect from usb.
Reinstall and when it ask you to plug in unit do it.
I had to install mine several times before it would work and downloaded another install free from dynex.

Make sure you have downloaded and extracted the correct driver for your OS have a read here http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12962 about halfway down the page is an orange icon to download the file
I would remove the wireless adapter from the device manager Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc this brings up device manager, look for the network adapters and click onthe + sign Is you network adapter listed or does it have a X or ! or ? against it If listed I would right click onit and uninstall. ---- Now reboot the PC - it will detect new hardware, and start to install the wireless adapter, it should now automatically find the driver as you have already installed the driver software. You will have to use the Dlink software if this is going to work at all. I'm not at all certain this model is compatible with Windows 2000 as the documentation only refers to Windows XP because it requires the Wireless Zero Configuration service which was not included in Windows 2000.

You can try downloading the latest driver for this card from Dlink web site and then remove the previously installed software and install the one that you have downloaded and then check if everything is working....

You can't zoom the Internet, it's a big as it's going to get :-) ha ha ha.

I usually set "Let Windows Manage my wireless connection" and use that on after-market wireless adaptors. This can also be done, maybe temporarily (?), by enabling:

Services > Wireless Zero Configuration Service

* You might try to uninstall the software ... then read very carefully the instructions that came with it. I say that because some hardware requires the software to be installed first! Others require the hardware first then the software. If you break the rules you COULD end up with problems.

Usually there's somewhere in the software of the adaptor to set it to let Windows (Wireless Zero Config) to manage it. This may not be the same in Windows Vista or Windows 7. Haven't tried yet ...

I HAVE A BUILT-IN NETWORK ADAPTER IN MY COMPUTER FUJITSU, M0DEL FMV 6000CX2 HOW CAN I INSTALL IT AND MAKE IT WORK.


Normally it is automatic enable.
U can see a local network connection (LAN) icon appear under network connection. The icon will show u unplugged if u did not connect to any network or devices.

If u did not see the LAN icon, then u need to check under device manager whether there is any missing driver.

at first your card its detected or not if not then replace it if yes then go to the right click to my computer there option is there manage in that device management is there in that your card has yellow mark in the other option just double click on it then re-installed the driver option is there put the card and the cd in the computer then you get it

Install never works properly


i suggest you update the driver of that adapter you can get it here:

but be sure what is the adapters version, in order to get the right driver.
check also the computers RAM needs to be 512mb 0r higher.
disable the antivirus while installing it.

Annoying bug


the best way to deal with the uninstall is to go to network connections in control panel and go to the network adapter icon and right click and select dissabl, or press Ctrl,Alt & Del and look for the wireless card.exe file in proceses and highlight it and click end process . Then go to add/remove programmes and uninstall the software, or use the cd that you got with the card to uninstall. Remove the network card from the current pci slot and use a different one to install it again if possible. Reinstall software and allow the software to run the network card, but when it is running, right click the icon in the taskbar and there should be a line that appears and says enable windows WZC (wireless zero configuration), this is more stable and will overtake your wireless connection. Re install the software
