Question about Toys

Open Question

I have a maxi cosi easy fix base and i'm not sure if the leg is fitted properly. I'm using it with the iso fix which i have got in with no problems. In the instructions it says the leg on the front will lock in the down position which it doesn't. I have checked underneath and it doesn't appear to even have a locking mechanism at the hinge. I have extended the leg so it is firm against the floor and the indicator on the foot is green but it is not locked at the hinge and therefore will moved is sufficient pressure is applied. Could you give me some advice on what is the correct way for the leg to be when the using the base with iso fix?

SOURCE: Have purchased Maxi Cosi baby restraint with Easy Base - Iso fix,

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix and EasyFix can only be used with IsoFix or the seat belt on (preferrably) the back seat. Please don't alter the mounting system of the seat as it will give unpredicable results!

The Commodore name has been around since 1978 so it is possible when you own an older Commodore you won't have any means to fix the Maxi Cosi seat.

If you do have IsoFix and/or seat belts in the back seat then please elaborate on the exact nature of the problem.

Does maxi cosi cabriofix easy base require anything to be removed from it before fixing it? we cant find where the button is that fixes it to the seat

Hi

Can you clarify - what button are you looking for?

The EasyFix base is fitted into the vehicle using the IsoFix points OR the 3 point seabelt. (Never both) The carseat then clicks onto the base and the metal rods on the underside of the CabrioFix carseat are grabbed by clamps on the base.

The support leg on the base cannot be detatched. It is part of the safety feature on the base and should not be removed.

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted using the EasyFix base (IsoFix or seatbelt fitted) the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 (fitted with seatbelt only) or the FamilyFix base (IsoFix only). If you do not have IsoFix points you need either an EasyBase or EasyBase 2 to be fitted with seatbelt.

What's the difference between Easybase (non isofix) and Easyfix base (isofix)? can I use the second one for both maxi cosi cabriofix and car seat up to 3.5 year?

Hi,

The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).

I hope this helps.

Which car seat fits the Quinny zapp

Hi, all the maxicosi carseats will fit onto the zapp using the adaptors that come with the zapp pushchair (but not the newly rebranded bebe loola).

The difference between the maxi cosi cabriofix and the ordinary cabrio or citi is that the cabriofix can be attached to the maxicosi in-car seat base (easybase or easyfix), whereas the cabrio and citi can only be fitted in the car using the cars seatbelts, they wont attach to the incar base. Hope I have helped a bit x
