I need a replacement rubber ring for my machine. Where can I get this in the UK

The following video is of a Hotpoint WF door seal replacement which is the same as the WMA series except the fascia panel is slightly different, make sure you take a photo of the wiring connections before you remove the fascia so you know where they go when you replace it

Hi,I have replaced these rubber seals,the front ring shouldnt give you much trouble its the inner one thats the pain,I woulnt use wire as the one thats on it is sprung loaded.
Ive also had to replace the door latch on a washing machine,what I did was take the top off and reach inside,maybe thats an option,or the other way is to put the machine on its side and go in through the bottom.

most machines will have a rubber o ring as part of the bobbin winding mechanism, when you engage the bobbin winder, this o-ring will move over against the main engine drive wheel and this then makes the bobbin spindle turn. So yes, you may need to replace the rubber o-ring, they can perish and wear. Called Bobbin Winder Tyre, you could try www.sewingpartsonline.com, they have loads of Kenmore models listed but can't see yours. However, if you email them, they should be able to advise what part number it is. If you start by opening up the machine case and take a look at the bobbin winder area first, you may find this rubber has split or perished.

Removing the tub shield gasket is not a simple matter I'm afraid, though not horibly complex. You will need to remove the top of the machine and unclip the fixing ring that holds it to the tub from inside the machine (This is a bit of a tight squeeze!). There is also a fixing ring on the outer edge of the tub shield gasket (Where the door seals to the rubber), usually a clip device that can be unclipped with a screwdriver. The gasket can then be removed. REassembly is a simple reverse of the removal.

HOWEVER, before you do this, you may find that having cleaned it as best as you can, painting some household bleach on the gasket and leaving it overnight then washing it down the next morning will be a great help (You might want to do this for a couple of nights in a row).

Yes - I get this - you have to wipe the inside of the drum rubber ring - not just throught the groves but sludge seems to collect in between the rubber ring and metal drum; you will need quite a bit of kitchen towel!

I take off the top cover unplug machine 1st ..Safety...Then take offretaining ring on inner drum /also ring on outer drum remove boot seal..Check utube video, explains in good detail...
