That happened to me too before. I guess they are not really a social networking site lol. But when it happened they just suspended my account for a time period then I was allowed back on. So you may be ok, but you will have to wait. Sorry if this wasn't the answer you were looking for but I can agree with you it was highly irritating!
remove the ac adapter
take the battery out
be sure nothing is connected with your laptop
then press and hold the power button for 60 secs to drain static as it is the most probable reason laptops stops working.
then connect the ac adapter only and without the battery try powering on the system
if it powers on
you can again shut it down
insert the battery
it should surely power on
it looks like theres an easy solution to ur prob though I havnt got full details.
what pc world did is common.but you either know this or dont and u will never know until ur told.
I went into pcworld once and asked for some dos disks, they looked at me like ive two heads and informed me that dos doesnt exist,I didnt know whether to laugh or punch their lights out as Im a computor technition and use dos platforms quite often.in xp repair at startup this is a dos platform.almost every outside of windows to repair pc's is a dos.
Anyway if ur looking for a manual that explains everything about ur pc and has a very informative trouble shooter;get back to me with ur model details and I'll mail u one.
