Do you really need the Polaroid software?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My cd drive is not allowing me to load materials or programs from a cd disk

What kind of CD-ROM drive is it, and what kind of discs are you trying to load? If it's an older drive and you are trying to read CD-R or CD-RW media, it may not support reading them. I've had problems reading them on newer drives also like those TrueX things that flopped a few years back. There could be lots of other reasons. The discs may be scratched or need cleaning, and if not the lens in the CD-ROM may need cleaning. Regrads, Solver.

Can't run a CD-ROM. Getting error 1005 on .x32 files. The CD won't even read. Do I need to download some drivers?

1. Make sure the CD-ROM is clean & does not have scratches.
2. Try cleaning the lens of your CD-ROM drive using a lens cleaning kit.
3. Try reading the CD-ROM on another CD-ROM drive.

It says..please insert a playstaion or playstation 2 disc format.

It's not asking for a specific disc, it's asking for a properly formatted PlayStation disc.

This message could mean that any one of several things has happened:
* You are trying to play a Japanese disc on a US PS2, or vice versa
* You are trying to play a game that has been copied onto a CD-R/DVD-R
* Your disc is scratched/dirty/otherwise unreadable
* Your disc isn't a format that the PS2 recognises (i.e. CD, DVD, PS CD-ROM, PS2 CD-ROM, PS2 DVD-ROM, etc)
* Your PS2 is broken

Recovery

this is a READ error known as a CYCLIC REDUNDANCY READ ERROR.
If the CD ROM is not able to read from the disc .. it gives u this error
This can come due to many reasons
1. OLD CD ROM - not able to read data properly
2. CD with lot of scratches
3. CD not written properly: Data not burn properly on CD at the time of its make.

Solution: Try to insert a new CD in it and then check whether it works or not
or get a CD LENS CLEANER DISC which will remove any kind of small debris on the lens on the CD ROM and then it will work.
This would surely help
