Question about Keurig B100 Coffee Maker

1 Answer

When you turn it on, it would initally say 'Not ready to brew" then as the water is heated, it would then say "ready to brew" and the 3 cup sizes would blink. Now only the small and large cup blink, but when I click either one of those, it says "not ready to brew" and then all the setup stuff..clock, temp, auto shutoff, etc comes up. I have tried to set the clock, set the temp, auto shutoff, but I cannot get it back to the original view. I can hold down the small cup button and randomly push buttons and eventually it will brew a small cup, but it is haphazard.

Hello there,

That is actually a major hardware fault of the system. The main control board in that unit has failed or is at least failing. I have seen it before with these models. If it is indeed a Keurig B100 it is not worth repairing, the repair will cost quite a bit and a new one of these units can be had on ebay for around $40 - 60.

It is much more cost effective to just replace this unit unfortunately, I'm very sorry for the grim news.

Thanks
Tim

Well everything is still true, although it is a more expensive system it may be worth it to check into the possibility of repair. You will want to call 866-901-BREW and inquire as to the estimate of repair cost. But honestly it is still very cost prohibitive, but it may still be under warranty, or an inexpensive repair.

I still feel you are going to end up replacing the system though, but check with them first.

    Thanks
    Tim

Is there water in it? There probably is so the next thing to try is to lift the tray and close it again after the machine is ready to brew. This resets the brewing function. Good luck.

Coffee maker not working

Hi,

Here are some of the most common problems that can cause your drip coffee maker to stop working:
  • The power cord or on/off switch can go bad. In either of these cases, it's best to get a pro to replace it or buy a new coffee maker -- replacing it improperly can lead to a fire.
  • The one-way valve can get clogged open or closed. You can usually fish out the debris that causes this problem with a toothpick.
  • The tubes can get clogged with calcium. This is especially true of the aluminum heating tube. The normal way to solve this problem is to run vinegar through the machine once, and then run two batches of water through to clean out the vinegar.
There are two problems that are nearly impossible to fix:

Failure of one of the heat-sensitive switches

(This is The coffee maker's temperature sensors)

Failure of the heating coil:

(This is the The coffee maker heating coil)

Because it's nearly impossible to get replacement parts, you probably have to buy a new coffee maker if one of these problems disables your machine. Now, when you make coffee tomorrow morning, you can do so with a new appreciation for exactly what's happening inside.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution

My keurig k65 won't brew

The problem is in the exit tube. Clean the top tube with a paperclip end and free it from deposits that collected inside. Keep Filer up to date 3 months or less to keep particles from entering the heating chamber. Use Distilled water for less particle builup.

How do we insert the coffee pods

Open the brew mechanism. Opening the brew
mechanism will initiate the heating of the water and the
HEATING light will flash.
2 Place a clean cup on the cup stand, adjusting the height of the
stand up or down so that the rim of the cup is close to the
brew mechanism.
• To adjust the cup stand, insert your finger in the center
of the stand, lift and turn.
• To avoid spilling over, please choose the right sized cup for
the drink you are making.
3 Position your choice of T-DISC on the T-DISC holder, label facing
down. Firmly close the brew mechanism by pressing the clamp
down until it shuts. The HEATING light may flash again as the
machine heats the water to the required temperature for
your drink.
4 When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release the start/stop
button. Brewing will start automatically. There may be a short pause
during brewing; this is normal and is designed to draw out the full flavor
of your drink. The AUTO light flashes throughout the brew cycle. When
the machine has finished brewing, the indicator light will move from
AUTO to MANUAL and then, after a delay of 30 seconds, to HEATING.
5 Open the brew mechanism, remove the T-DISC and discard.
Your drink is now ready to be enjoyed.
You can prepare the next beverage right away by repeating
steps 2 - 5.

How do you turn on a Keurig to get a cup of coffee - I hit the button and it says green and ready but nothing is coming out - I put the cup's worth of water in the side container - what do I do to get it...

I know on mine I have to open and close the chamber where I put my coffee. It then blinks ready and I press the size cup I want to brew. Hope this helps! :) And sometimes if there isn't enough water in the reservoir it won't brew so try and putting more than just a cup's worth of water in it :)

Coffee not hot enough

hi elite 288! have you tried pre-heating your coffee cups? i fill w/hot water, then set them on cup warmer until i brew coffee (dump out water & slide cup under spout at last moment) and i do my frothing of milk before brewing espresso. also, have you allowed adequate time for machine to warm up/run just water through machine: after it indicates it's ready to go, hit the brew button & allow about a 1/2 cup or cup of water to run thru, warming up the brewhead. when ready button again lights up, brew your espresso. if this doesn't get it hot enough for you, try descaling your machine (you can look online or in manual for how to do this). since you have a refurb unit & heating element may not have been replaced, it could have some build up on it causing it to heat up all the water less efficiently. if this doesn't work, you may need to have the place you purchased it from diagnose and repair. good luck!
