Problem for Epson Stylus Photo RX580 InkJet Printer
New ink went bad overnight

I bought some color ink for my epson rx580 printer.
I bought it from the epson web site and spent over $100.
I put in the ink and for the first couple of print jobs eveything seemed to go well.
Today I turned on the printer and was told that the printer did not recognize the ink cartridges and the lcd instructed me to replace one of the new ink cartridges---so we went to the store---bought the one we were being asked to replace----installed it----and now we are being instructed to replace another one of the new cartridges.
So---anyway---the printer is dead in the water.
We are not going to spend any more money on anymore ink until we know that it is worth our while.
Is this printer ruined or what?

I can't tell you why your machine is acting like that nor can I tell you that you have a problem.
What I can tell you is that you're not alone when it comes to the ink drying out all of the sudden. In the past few years I can't count the number of people who have explained this problem. I also can't count the number of people that have said their Epson produces the highest quality prints and their happy with it.
Your problem could be the printer or it could be the ink. Since it already happened twice it's hard to say.
