There is a reset switch a small hole through which you can use an office pin to reset. After this use the USB cable to charge from your PC. If any file was loaded use the PC to get access to the memory. Do a full scan of the memory and delete any malware in the sansa.
After this the set might take up charging,if not you must be able to get warranty on the device if it was bought with warranty.
Hope you try this out. good day
Did you run the installation CD before you plugged the mp3 player into the computer? If not, disconnect the mp3 player from computer, uninstall all the Sansa software on your computer, and reinstall the software from the installation CD.
If the uninstall/reinstall fails, update the firmware on the player from Sandisk's website.
You can put music on it by doing the following (assuming vista/XP environment):
Connect it to your PC using the provided USB cable. Open windows explorer and navigate to your Sansa Clip. Click through "sansa clip", "internal memory" to the "music" directory. Drag and drop MP3/wav files to this directory. Feel free to create subdirectories. Your music will be accessible after doing this. Be aware that the clip ignores your directories. It will look for artist, album, and title tags to categorize your tracks. You may have to look for your tracks in the "unknown" album directory when playing if your tracks don't have these (ID3?) tags.
Double click the My Computer icon when your Sansa clip is connected, and open the "Record" folder; then click on the FM or Voice recorder, as appropriate. Or, open in Windows Media Player library.
unplug Sansa MP3 player from your PC, go to menu ->settings, scroll down to USB-Mode, change mode from MTP to MSC, re-connect, yout PC will connect, detect new usb devive, disk drive.... and your sansa icon will be displayed at computer folder. Good Luck
