I need a vidio driver

I prefer to get the drivers from the chipset fabricator (here it's likely Intel's site--Intel onboard video(?))--not the motherboard fabricator's site.

Only extremely rarely is the chipset fabricators' drivers not the best solution. Nowadays, though, the board fabricators site likely offers decent and workable drivers--board fabricators have become far better at upgrading them than in the past.

I installed win xp but the drivers for 845gv-m3 v10 does not work that i download from your site? Please help

btjunkie.org is my resource for all of my XP drivers I answer this question a lot from folks that need drivers. If you can I suggest upgrading anyway to Win 7 they are downloaded mostly for you during the install process which makes it a lot easier these days to fix machines. Less time in any event go to that site make sure that you have U torrent a torrent file down-loader program software. Type in the search box once at the btjunkie site XP drivers you will have thousands of them to download on one disk insert the disk then go to devices seek the drivers needed to be found point the seek to your drivers disk and hopefully it can be had. I never have an issue with drivers using the software downloaded from there site. I hope this assists you. It is also for those of you who read this post to keep your driver files with your purchase when you bought the computer. If this is not the case then you will have to hunt them down.

No display

Have you installed your display driver, it might be a problem from that. Install your proper display driver and check it may solve your issue. It might also arise from your display card if it is not functioning properly. And the last check your monitor that it is in proper condition or not.

Cant install powercolor 9600 pro on ECS 845gv-m3 mobo

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Background info, a Powercooler 9600 PRO EZ was most probably manufactured by C.P.Technology in Taiwan. I am sorry to say that quality wise, this company is rather low and to my understanding, a lot of their products has to be returned/replaced even new. On the other hand, the old Nvidia MX4000 might have been manufactured by Palit, also in Taiwan but has a better quality control as of the time of production. The MX4000 though only uses 128Mb of memory but runs them at 275/400 (DDR) MHz clock speed compared to the 9600 PRO 200 (400) MHz. The slow memory onto the PowerColor RADEON 9600 PRO EZ 256MB had a really bad effect on its performance.

To your concern, the ECS 845GV-M3 (V1.0) uses AGP Express but should not cause a problem to either the 256 or 128. since it is working with the 128, then it would be safe to say that the 256 is defective. if the 256 will test OK in another motherboard, then it would be a compatibility issue, try setting the CMOS/BIOS to default and see if it will work.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Cant install powercolor 9600 pro on EliteGroup 845GV-M3 mobo... Fan will run in agp express slot but hardware not found on boot up (win XP)

HI findads,

You need to make a change in your bios. Still have your manual for the 845GV-M3 motherboard?
If not you can download it at this link: http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Downloads/ProductsDetail_Download.aspx?detailid=465&DetailName=Manual&DetailDesc=845GV-M3%20%20(V1.0)&CategoryID=1&MenuID=82&LanID=0
You will also need Adobe reader to view the pdf file. Get Adobe for free at: http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/

If you have already installed the 9600 AGP card, please shut down your system. Unplug the power cord from the power supply. Open your case & remove the 9600 AGP card. One must follow an order of sequences’ when changing graphics cards. Once removed, reconnect the power cord to the power supply & boot the system. (It’s ok not to close your case). As the system starts to boot, press the Delete key on your keyboard every two seconds. The main bios menu will load. Read the instruction at the bottom of the menu which will show you how to move about in the bios.
(The mouse does not function while in the bios).
Using the manual to help change a settings.

Go to Advanced Chipset Features page 35, than into Integrated Peripherals, page 37.
Set Init Display First to [AGP]. Save the bios & exit. The system will auto restart. Once your screen goes to black, press & hold the power on / off button on your case until the system shuts off.
Unplug the power cord from the power supply. Install the AGP video card. Make sure it is completely seated & even in the AGP slot. Screw it down. Before closing the case, re-check all internal power connections to every device & all data connections. (Snug fit). Close your case & reconnect the power cord to the PC. Boot your system. You should have display & windows should load.
Install the CD software for the 9600 Pro video card. Restart the PC. Go to power color & check for any driver updates for the 9600 Pro card. http://www.powercolor.com/
Before installing any update from PowerColor check windows for updates.

Everything should work out ok.
Good luck findads!
