There is a lot of standing water on the bottom of the washer and it just wont go down. Tried using DRANO but it didn't work at all.

if you have had a new garbage disposal in stalled then make sure the plug has been taken out of it.
If you have a wet dry shop vac you can use it to drain the water from th unit by attaching it to the end of the drain hose. if the water comes out easy you may have a faulty pump if it comes out kid slow then there is a restriction some where in the line of the sump area of the dishwaher and needs to be cleaned out.

My bosch dishwasher does not drain the water away, left sitiing in bottom

Hi,

It could either be the filter (most likely), the drain pump (likely) or the drain hose/tube (least likely).

Normally, there would a filter somewhere at the bottom of your washing machine with the primary function of keeping loose clothing, torn fabric, lint, fluff and foreign objects away from the impeller/pump. Most current washing machine have self-cleaning filters and therefore regular cleaning is no longer a concern. However, some other washing machine need to have the filter manually removed and cleaned regularly or as even in your case. If the filter or grate is clogged or blocked with debris, it may interfere with the normal functioning of your washing machine and may cause the problem as you have described; water doesn't leave the tub.

To check the filter and/or the drain pump, the bottom has to be exposed, the filter/pump located and cleaned. In some instances, the drain could be a valve operated by a solenoid.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Miele dishwaher won't drain, water in the bottom of filter. I have cleaned filter, water still won't clear.

hi,

most common faults with dishwashers is a drain fault. Check for any kinked hoses and check the drain spigot under the sink where the drain hose connects into the u bend. Usually this is where food gets trapped due to the spigot not being drilled out large enough. This then causes a blockage. Also check the non return valve under the filter and make sure the drain pump can turn freely.
Hope this helps.

The dishwaher is going through the cycle but the macine is not washing. I checked the overflow float

filter might be choked (blocked) and because of this pump is not able to lift the water for gentle cleaning.so please check the filter and the pump head.

I have a Belling IDW604 dishwaher just installed in my kitchen. Have only used it a couple of times and have noticed quite a lot of water left in bottom when program has finished. If I then do a quick...

There should not be water in the bottom. It's possible it's not draining completely which usually means a clogged hose. It can also be there is something under the screen filter that has blocked the hole. Also, I had installed one that didn't drain completely because the drain hose was not high enough. It should be higher than the dishwasher, and if they installed it under the cabinets and attached to the sink drain, the entry must be above trap. I hope this helps some.

Drain problems

This may not be the solution, but look for an air in-take somewhere on the top/back of the unit. It's probably covered by a stainless steel cover that can be taken off. Unscrew this cover and see if the air intake is blocked with lint. This is usually the cause of dishwahers (whether portable or built-in) failing to drain.
