This occurs when the incorrect video driver is installed or the standard VGA driver is installed.
You can confirm the type of video driver installed by click on Control Panel - Display - Settings tab - Advanced check the Adapter type.
If you have not the correct video driver then -

You can download the drivers from ASUS WEB site. Select your model motherboard/computer/laptop, and make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system. Please click on this link to their WEB support site : -

Download Intel Graphics Drivers from this site : http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Select Proper Product and download the required drivers.

To find which graphic card you have > go to Start Menu > Run > type "dxdiag"
press NO and then go to Display Tab, see Adapter Name , must be Intel 845 or something like that.

Color quality is lowest (4 bit), cannot change also font is very large and I also cannot change.

The video driver is missing or corrupted. Go into Device Manager - Display Adapters - your video card and right click on it and uninstall the driver from there. Reboot , go to the manufacturer of the video chip and download and install a new one.

My PC's color quality shows only lowest 4 bit

Sounds like you need to install a video driver. If you have a video card separate from the mother board, look up the card and download drivers for it. Alternatively, you may be able to use the Windows Update tool to autodetect the driver.

If the video card is on the motherboard, look up the motherboard's model number on the manufacturer's website as they should have drivers there.

Finally, look back at the disks you got with your computer, often there is a "drivers disk" which you can reload the driver with.

Graphics Unable to use the native resolution, such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and 1440x900 circuit388.gif Symptom(s):
On some displays, users may be unable to use the native resolution when using Intel® chipset graphics. Resolutions such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1440x900 are not available in graphics properties.

Cause:
The display's EDID is not read properly when connected to some digital flat panel displays. Display devices describe its capabilities by sending EDID (Extended Display Information Data) to the computer.

Solution:
Intel has released a graphics driver to specifically address this issue; however, there may be side effects to this solution such as longer than normal resume times from standby. This solution will only work with external displays such as DFP displays connected to the computer's VGA port. This driver is not designed to address issues with a notebook's built-in display (Local Flat Panel) or with TV’s connected to the system. This driver is provided as is. Intel has not tested, and does not guarantee, the operation of the driver for this purpose.

Use a program called Everest to positively identify the video hardware in your laptop. Confirm youre installing the correct video driver for your device. If you have the right driver and it still wont install, try a forced install (unpack the driver into a folder, go to display properties > settings > advanced > adapter, update the adapter driver lead it to the folder you created).

You need to switch it to 32-bit, not 16 bit. DX9 drivers shouldn't be an issue, but if all else fails re-installing you video card drivers might help.

Hope that helps,

be sure you downloaded the graphic driver for your computer. you can find it from the manufacturer website or if you know the model of your mainboard you can also find it from the mainboard manufacturer website. also, try changing your display settings by right click your desktop and choose properties then choose display adjust the screen resolution on higher pixel. but my best guess is you need the graphic driver of your computer.
