I have a lg kp500 which is locked and is asking for a four digit number which i have not set is there a default four digit code

The default code for the LG KP500 is 0000 after reset.
If you have forgotten your security code, dial '1809#*500#' and select 'reset settings' from the menu. Once you have reset back to the default setting and you have entered the default code (0000), you can then set it to your own personal code.

You can reset and restore the factory default settings of your LG Attune UN270 mobile phone by following below instructions:

• Touch
• Touch Settings
• Touch Phone Settings and Security.
• Enter the four-digit Lock Code.
• Touch Master Reset.
• Touch OK
• A message will pop up that says "All settings will revert to factory default."
• Touch Revert or Cancel.
• If you touch Revert, enter the four-digit Lock Code. The phone returns to the configuration default.

1. Press the left soft key for Menu.

4. When prompted, enter the 4-digit lock code (the default code is the last four digits of the cell phone number).
5. Select Lock Mode then press OK.
6. Choose your preferred option then press OK:
   • Never
   • On Power Up
   • Always

To unlock the phone:

1. Press the right soft key for Unlock.
2. When prompted, enter the 4-digit lock code (the default code is the last four digits of the cell phone number)

To hard reset of your cell

Type 1809#*500# & select reset option which restores the factory settings. A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes. It it asks security code then enter 0000 it will take some time and your handset will be restored to original settings.

or try this to Reset Default
From the standby screen, press Menu
Scroll to and select Settings
Scroll to and select Reset Settings
Scroll to and select Master Reset
A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes.
It it asks security code then enter 0000

you need to go to settings and than go to security settings.click on lock enter a past code.confirm pass code and it should lock dont for get your code are you will never get in to your phone again no one knows pass word but you.there may be a default code may be last 4 digits of cell or 0000.IF THAT DOES NOT WORK ASK YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER.HEAVY RAIN.

According to the manual, your default lock code is the last four digits of your phone number.

To access it:
1.) Select the MENU/OK button.
2.) Select Settings/Tools.
3.) Select Settings.
4.) Select More...
5.) Select Restrict & Lock.
6.) You will then be prompted to enter your phone's lock code. If it's your first time accessing it, the last four digits of your phone # should be your code. You can change it later if you wish.

to unlock your PUK call your provider and tell them it is asking for the puk code they will ask you a series of personal questions and give you a universal code for all phones of that model.write it down. if you find the same phone as yours you will be able to unlock it

the service code is 00000

There's good news and bad news. The good news is that you might well have forgotten that the default password on the phone is 00000000 (that's eight zeroes). The bad news is that if you've changed it to something else and that's what you've forgotten, you might well need to take the phone in to a service center to have them help you break it back open.Please put a good rating on my profile.
