I am sorry, again, I am not talking about a TI 84 plus silver edition, but about the BA II plus, which is different: neither alpha nor math keys.... thanks for advising me on BA II plus :)

I have done quite a bit of research here for you and there is no way to simplify a fraction on this calculator, it is a bit too simplistic itself to do this. I believe you need a step up in calculator to do these functions. A single line calculator just can't do it... you will want a more scientific / graphing style calculator. There is no mention of being able to do a bernouilli function on this device either, I have checked all kinds of documentation on it. So sorry, but you need a beefier calculator for this type of math.

Thanks
Tim

One thing more can i ask you what i assisted you wrong.
how would one explain a calculation procedure better than a manual since i also can write it down how to do it.
Guy you should understand these are hard earned points throughout my tenure in fixya and i have earned a negative rating for providing you a correct manual for free.
Anyways what you did to me is perfectly acceptable to me ,,,tell me what more can i do for you.

Enter the fraction for example: enter 8/12.
The answer will be .666666
Then click Math (which is located under the Alpha button).
Click the ->Frac button (the first one).
It should come up as Ans->Frac.
Click Enter.
It should now read 2/3 which is 8/12 reduced.
Note: I have a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, and the TI-84 Plus might not have this function, but that is how I do it on my TI-84 Plus Silver Edition

I do not see a function for that on the calculator when i look at the layout. you will most likely have to put them in by hand.
(1/4 = .25 etc.) ant then convert them back for the answers.
