My friend has an acer an she is trying to put the network adapter that were originaly on the computer becaus her boyfriend deleted it

Hi,
If I am understanding you. Then all that was done. Was to remove the drivers for them. So they won't show up. However they will appear with exclamation point in device manager.
(start/run/devmgmt.msc) then we just need to reinstall the drivers. to help you identify the needed driver check here http://support.acer.com/us/en/default.aspx. they can be stored on a flash drive and select update driver and point to the flash drive for the needed files.

hope this helps

My compaq network controller driver is not working properly.

Hello,

The best thing I would advise you to do, is this:

Connect your system to the internet altenatively through a

modem,

Right-Click on my computer icon,

Go to the device manager on your system,

Right click on the icon specifying the network controller driver

(which was not installed),

Select Update driver software,

On the options that comes up, select update software online

automatically, then wait for it to do the remaining.

After a while, it will show 'Installing Device driver update'.

Just wait for it to finish.

Then click on finish/ok/close.

I can guarantee you that it will work perfectly after that.

Hope this helps you out.

Kindly let me know how it goes.

Thanks for using fixya.

What is the driver for microsoft 6to4 adapter #8

Hi Friend,

6to4 adapter is a component used for transmitting IPv6 packets trough IPv4 network correctly.

In some scenarios, there will be a code 31 or code 10 error appearing beside this component. A possible reason is, the network adapter doesn't support this feature. You may update the driver for your network adapter or chipset, and then try to Uninstall and reinstall the this component.

To Uninstall the component, right-click the item in Device Manager and select Uninstall.

To reinstall the component, in Device Manager, Action - Add Legacy Hardware - Next - "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list" - Network adapters - Microsoft - Microsoft 6to4 Adapter - Next - Finish the wizard.

If the steps above doesn't solve the problem, your network adapter is not a supportive one for this component. You can completely ignore this error, if there isn't IPv6 network deployed in the environment. The error won't affect your system.

To remove the error message, please right-click the Command Prompt and run as administrator, type the command netsh in 6to4 set state disable, press Enter. The component will be disabled and hidden.

Regards
Chiranjeet

My wireless won't work, internet connection shakey, various network adapters failed to start, error code 10, system says drivers are up to date. What's going on here?

Hi, a [Code 10] identify that the "Drivers are missing or not working properly; you need to "Update the [Drivers]. You can go to the "Control Panel," and Update the Network Adapters in the ("Device Manager"). Next, you can go to the [Start Menu] and select to Search / Scan for "Windows / Microsoft Updates" or you can click on this site; where you may find the Drivers you need. Error 211

When getting error 211, you will need to manually install the drivers for the adapter.

Exit from the error message, then remove the CD and restart your computer.

Plug linksys usb adapter, the computer will detect the adapter.

Right-click on My computer then click properties, go to Hardware > Device Manager.

Under Other Devices, you will see 802.11 g WLAN with an exclamation point. Right-click on it and select Update drivers.

Then insert the CD. (If the installation setup screen appears, just exit it.)

Then on the update driver screen, click browse and select your CD-ROM drive.

Then click finish.

If you are using Win 7, follow the steps from this link.

If you cannot open the link, just go to kb.linksys.com. In the search bar type 20873. Answer title: Error 211 - Installing Driver Manually for network adapters to work in Win7.

I hope this helps!

Device manager problem!

It sounds like Windows is not recognizing the digital signature of the drivers. If they are the current Dell drivers, you can simply ignore the flags.
If you are bothered by them, you can try removing the device from the D.M. and re-installing to try to resetting the digital signatures. (this may not remove the flags)

Broadcom network adapter has code 10

Try to update its drivers. Go to the Device Manager. In the device Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions to update the driver.

You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. Windows may have the driver built-in, or may still have the driver files installed from the last time that you set up the device. If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor’s Web site.

How to go to Device Manager:

1. Right-click on My Computer on the desktop and then click on Properties. Then click on the Hardware tab and then Device Manager button.
2. Double-click on Network Adapter. Double-click on your network adapter to view its properties.
3. Look for the Device Status or any error message. If it says "This device is working properly" then the adapter is properly installed.

Im trying to intall a d'link wireless network adapter

Blink,

In order to help you we need to know, what have you tried and what problem you are having.

You should have received a CD in the box your adapter came in. Run the CD and install the drivers and utilities. At sometime during the installation it should ask you to insert the adapter. Do so and then hit enter. It will finish installing the software then depending on what Operating system you have it may or may not ask you to restart. If it does the reboot the computer.

Congratulations you have no installed the Dlink adapter

Hope this helps

Has the toshiba a60 laptop got an onboard wireless adapter, cos i have been told that mine has a conflicting problem with the wireless adapter i have tried to install

Hi suze26,

Yes, your laptop came with 10/100 ethernet card and 802.11g wireless. You can try to un-install this device temporally to see if the conflict clears. If not you may need to go to your manufacturer for updated drivers. Try this: click Start>control panel>system, click on hardware tab choose device manager, look for network adapters click to see the adapters installed on your computer, choose the the 802.11g and un-install. Reboot, windows will detect new hardware and reinstall the network adapter, check to see if conflict has cleared. I hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.com

Sincerely, cyyyd7
