One bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Bootable devise was not found new

Bootable device not found actually indicates the HDD (hard disk) is no longer recognised and either needs to be re-seated or replaced, if the bootable device error message comes up all the time the it will be a definite HDD replacement.

My cde rom is no longer recognised

hi, Try this - should work Depending on what operating system you have the way to get to device manager is different - yet necessary.
Once you search your pc -and find your DEVICE MANAGER - click on that open it and then select CD- ROM - from the list - RIGHT CLICK IT - REMOVE IT - select REMOVE - then go to your trash can or recycle bin and clean that out. - leaving everything as it is - reboot the pc - it will auto find it and put a new driver in there. Also try updating your drivers. There are many programs that will get this done but google - speccy and also CCleaner - download CCLEANER and run it - - this is a great program - then click on the registry setting and run that too. Speccy will get you what hardware you have and also help in updating. Best of it PLEASE VOTE ME UP It really makes a difference for me - and cost is FREE. Thanks 43f1fe2.gif

My computer no longer recognises my TomTom Go 530 so I can no longer contect it to the computer for upgrades and MP3 additions. I haven't tried reinstalling it from scratch yet. Would this help?

Had the same problem after using latest Home download and then next PC boot could not recognise tomtom. Fixed by pushing the reset on the bottom of the TomTom. Then connected to the PC again and all works
