Most feature phones have a very limited amount of memory on them, usually between 100-250 text messages are allowed. This means you will have to go through and delete some of your messages in your inbox. You can delete unwanted messages one by one or delete the entire inbox. The delete buttons exist in different places depending on your cell phone model.
->If you have a option of using SD Memory cad they cen hold up to several giga bytes of text message.
->Orelse delete the unwanted or extra msg.
->Simply by deleting a song it can store store 100 text msgs.
This is a manufactures defect take it to the place you purchused it from and ask for consumer report and see how many others have been rerported having the same issue. If more than 5 at the purticular store, replace it with a different model.
If you want to mass delete your Text...from either inbox or any other folder... open the folder eg. Inbox press options then scroll to mark and mark all, then press option again and delete, you will delete everything there...
Text messages? The voice mails are on a server, not the device. If you cannot delete the text messages try resetting defaults by doing the following: Press Menu key and scroll to settings (toolbox icon) hit OK button Scroll down to advanced; hit OK button Scroll down to "Reset Defaults" and hit ok Select "Reset Settings" and hit ok VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT SELECT RESET ALL- THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR CONTACTS After selecting Reset Defaults enter security code 000000 and select ok then select yes
You will not lose any data or info stored on the phone. This will simply reset your settings to factory defaults so you will have to reset your wallpaper, ringtones etc...
That means that there is a double entry. the number saved in your address book has eitehr been saved twice or saved twice with different names. Delete the entry in the address book then turn off and on your phone. you should see the name of the other entry now.
It will probably stay until a different contact takes it's place. You can also try adding their name again exactly as it was. After that, edit from your list of contacts by changing the contact name and number to that of directory assistance or other contact.
With this problem, you should be able to Delete the SENT msgs by either going to the sent menu, and choosing OPTIONS, and delete all, if the option is not there, you may need to delete them under the Settings on the phone, for the SENT ADDRESS, you should be able to simply chose either back/delete any of those options should work well. Please let me know how it goes Thanks Justin Please Rate Me
thank u so much for trying to help. I guess my message wasnt clear enough though. The phone is not storing my "messages", I'm not having a problem with that, I can clear them, no problem. Its the "recent log" under the "add recipients" that does not clear. The "recent log" stores all the numbers you ever text messaged to. I want to clear the #'s that I've text messaged to, not regular calls, thats easy to clear. For some reason this phone stores all the #'s that you text to. If you can figure it out, i'll give u a million dollars!!! just joking of course.
