Most likely you have the latest firmware on your tv. You can check the version somewhere in the menus but your problem most like can only be fixed by replacing the y-up and y-down buffers.
You need to copy the autorun.upg file from the sub folder to the root directory of the zip drive. I had the same problem and it worked after I did this.
You may want to try upgrading the firmware. My Philips plasma set did the same thing and a firmware upgrade fixed it. The procedure is simple enough, just copy some files onto a USB drive and let the TV update itself. The release notes give detailed instructions. I couldn't find your exact model number on the Philips site, you'll want to get the correct firmware for your set.

Uninstall the device and software completely first, and then reinstall it. If that still fails, get the firmware upgrade from Philips website - will reload. Note: this player is not compat with Vista or Macintosh.
First Make sure that you have your PC connected to the internet, as the firmware manager will download the firmware from the firmware server, it is necessary that you have the PC online during the entire the process.
Run the application on your PC at Start->Programs->Philips Firmware Manager->Philips Firmware Manger.
Connect the GoGear player with the PC in normal mode. Switch on the player.
Firmware Manager will start the upgrade process after the player is detected.
Enter the serial number of your device. You can find the serial number as a 14 digital code printed on the sticker near the USB connector of the device e.g. SFxxxxxxxxxxxx and then click NEXT to proceed.
Click the START button, select the firmware and click OK.
The upgrade process will continue to download firmware.
Once the upgrade process is completed, click FINISH to close the application.

Especially if you have Vista or Windows Media Player 11, the firmware upgrade for this device should resolve that problem. If the firmware fails to update, then perform a Repair through Philips Device Manager first, and retry the Firmware Upgrade.
If you find that the GoGear will not load the firmware upgrade, then: 1) Backup all files on the GoGear (Repair will delete all files on your GoGear) 2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) 3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button 4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new You will now be able to load the upgrade Also, if the Philips Device Manager says that your device is already updated with the latest software, then go to: www. usasupport. philips. com,and enter in your model number, SA5125/37, on the next page select SA5125/37 (not "37B"), on the next page click on software and drives, and click on Firmware Upgrade Software - this will ensure that your player really has been given the most current firmware upgrade -Tha Mp3 Doctor
