If the volume + method did not work, and the Philips Device Manager does not recognize the player is plugged in, and you uninstalled the old software and reinstalled the new software from the Philips website, then your player is officially dead. call Philips to inquire about getting a replacement - these are no longer available, so they would repalce your unit with a newer SA model.

My iphone charges but music doesn't play out of the dock system when connected. Also the radio works just well with the speakers just the iPhone doesn't.

Well this is a problem isn't it. I suggest you get get a new iPhone because this one is pure crizap. When i plugg my in it works. but if you can not afford a new phone the i suggest you google it and you go to your settins on your phone and then make sure your sounds are on and if that doesnt work i suggest that youbegin to put strawberry jam in your iPhone dock and make sure that it is strawberry and if its not then this solution wont work. when you put the jam on there you need to put you phone on the dock and wait. theis is the answer to your solution my nizzle and thanl yous for your time .

The screen may have failed or a connector is loose.

I can suggest replaceing the screen, but check the connections first allthought it may be a problem in the mainboard instead of the lcd not working.

We are not able to on the ipod no display is

I would suggest putting it into "safe" mode. There are many videos on youtube of how to do this but a little description is you will need to hold the home and lock button at the same time, after 10 seconds you let go of the lock button but keep holding the home button. Im not 100% sure that you wait 10 seconds so i would suggest looking up youtube video's which will show you exactly what to do. If all else fails, i suggest you contact Apple and see what they can do.

Hope this helps ^^. Please don't forget to rate, Thanks

On the bottom where yuo plug it into the computer there is a Reset. Stick a pin or pencil in there to reset. It may work. Did for me when my friend borrowed it to go jogging in the rain.

Center button on my nano wont work

Most likely needs replacing, but you can try the "soft fixes":
Do the 5 R's:

These are for Nano, but they apply to all iPods:

Reset, Retry, Restart, Reinstall, Restore

Remember these five basic suggestions if you have a problem with your iPod nano. If

one of the following doesn’t help, read on for solutions to specific problems.

â Reset your iPod nano. See “General Suggestions,” below.

â Retry with a different USB port if you cannot see iPod nano in iTunes.

â Restart your computer and make sure you have the latest software updates

â Reinstall iPod and iTunes software from the latest versions on the web.

â Restore your iPod nano. See “Updating and Restoring iPod Software” on page whatever.

Siren MP3 Player switch on / off problem

An email to Siren support suggested a hardware failure... then suggested I return the unit to place of sale. As my warranty was out I decided to open it up.
Not suggesting as a viable solution - worked for me.
Pull the battery cover and battery. Two teeny screws - a couple of pry-points next the to screw holes. Carefully lever the covers apart.
Once apart I put the battery back in place. Unit fired right up.
Kept working after re-assembly.
So far so good.
Good luck.
