The noise could be coming from the blower housing, as this unit does not have bearings, it does have 4 rollers however. If the unit is working on timed dry and not sensors there may be a problem with them. Check your venting though, if it is too short it may not have enough back pressure for the sensors to operate properly. This could also cause your thermosats to blow, the one is a manual reset, either way you are going to have to get a gas tech out there.

My washer/dryer combo Frigidaire washer dosn't spin water out of clothes completely after spin cycles the clothes is still very wet. On the 1st spin cycle drum dosn't spin just makes noise, the 2nd and...

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire laundry center, model# FGX831CS, is not spinning water out of your clothes completely. I see that on the first spin cycle the drum is not spinning and is just making noise, and on the second spin cycle the drum spins to the left very slowly and loudly. First check to see if your washer is overloaded. Try taking some clothes out and spinning them again. Secondly, make sure that the load is not out of balance. Try rearranging the clothes to allow for proper spinning. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Have a year old Whirlpool Ultimate Care II. After wash is spun and load is done the clothes are still sopping wet. Tried extra rinse but that doesn't help. Afraid of damaging dryer when putting clothes...

Check to make sure a nail has not gotten stuck in one of the hole in thew bottom of the drum. Check to see that no article of clothing has gotten jammed between the tubs or the top.

Roper top load washing machine #8280871, worked well for a little while, now clothes are sopping wet and it will not spin or do anything after it rinses. Help, what part do I need to fix this?

If it is making noise when it is supposed to be spinning or agitating there is a coupling made of plastic with rubber flex joints on both sides replace this and should start working again 1195967 is the part # usually run 15-20 bucks

Dryer making horrible squeeling noise

this is normally a problem with rollers that have gotten dry bearings , take the drum out check the rollers if they turn hard or act sticky you may clean them up and and oil with turbine oil , do not use wd-40 or 3in 1 as these will dry the bearing, check the idler pulley while you have this apart also oiling it if need be

Clothes are still sopping wet when finished

If your clothes are wet after the wash it is quite possible your outlet filter is blocked. Check this out and clean out. This requires periodic cleaning, according to your usage. Refer to your user manual.

Machine runs, but clothing won't dry

It sounds like your heating element is shot. The elements on this machine are very sensitive and if you use too much cleaning fluid the part will wear down after a while. You will need to get the part replaced (yuck) and start to use a little less washer fluid. Please let me know about your experience with the company (danfrogel@yahoo.com)
