ok i got the graphics card up and going but my tiger woods game still comes up that my video card is not capatable for this game. I know this card will run game. I had a similar problem with my own pc and it was a conflict between the direct x programs tiger woods needs the direct x 9 c to run she has direct x 9 in her pc and if i am right and i have no idea how to do this but direct x 9 needs to be either put in limbo or deleted so the direct x 9c can run. Can this cause a conflict?? to keep game from running??

With no drivers, the system does not know how to display the image. Does the POST message appear as it starts up? If it does, then press F8 while Windows is booting and enter safe mode, and load the drivers from the CD.

Hi,

Did you install the latest drivers from the AMD (they bought ATI) website?

You can find the latest drivers for Windows XP Home here. After you install the drivers there should be no problem changing your resolution. Regarding the other socket, you must've made it so you extend your desktop onto your "second screen" (ie. the one that connects to the second socket) so you don't see your desktop on that screen but just the extension of your desktop. If you move your mouse all the way to the right you should see it pop up there. You can change it in Display Properties -> Settings -> select screen #2 and deselect the extend desktop onto monitor option.

After fresh xp pro install, can't install video drivers from ibm for ati radeon 7500

This is your driver.Use an uninstaller like thisdownload_revo_uninstaller_f.gif
http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html
To completely remove all traces of your old driver installation. Then you'll have a better chance of the driver working. After it runs the drivers uninstaller it will scan your computer for leftovers that may interfere with the new install. It's free and works great.I never use the stock uninstallers anymore after discovering this tool.Take care!

I reinstalled windows xp and loaded the video drivers for a radeon 1650 pro video card. It stays on until it is ready to enter windows and then blanks... I have to go back in safe mode and uninstall...

Just making sure............you definitely have the Radeon 1650 Pro Video Card? Is there video built into the motherboard? Meaning, without the Radeon card installed, is there a VGA connection available? Have you updated your BIOS?

Screen going blank for a second or two while video freezes then jumps.

If you have on board graphics try removing video card and reboot when computer rebooted turn it of and refit card and restart when restarted computer should recognize new hard ware and should find the already installed drivers if not try installing drivers again
Sometimes windows does not recognize new hardware until its refitted
had this problem with modems alot and the above method solved it

Remove your card. Clean the AGP slot & the video card. Reinstall the card. Still having trouble. Download the latest driver, below: Befor you install the latest driver package. Update windows. You will need .Netframwork ver. 2.0. Uninstall your current driver through Control Panel, ADD/Remove programs.
If the uninstall fails download and run ATI's uninstall utility: http://searchna.ati.com/promosearch/?site=us-en&la=en&qt=cat-uninstaller&selectsite=ATI&sp_a=sp10039240&sp_p=all&sp-x-1=col&sp_f=ISO-8859-1&sp_q=cat-uninstaller&Search.x=9&Search.y=8
