I had the same problem and then later on found out that when not optimized(crank time, voltage or weather condition...ect). It would caused the same problem and eventually kill your starter. So much for convennience huh!? Goodluck.

Which remote is suitable for jvc kd-dv 7404 car dvd only basic function

You will need to order a replacement factory remote. Universal remotes only operate home equipment. The chances of finding one that happens to have the codes for the car unit are slim and there is no crossreference for them. Ebay is a good source for them.

I lost the control remote where I get a new one

Hey, you really have two choices in this situation:
1) Go to your local department store (Best Buy, Walmart, or Target), and go to the electronics section and find a Universal Remote.
2) If you don't want to go through that hassle, you can actually by the original remote that you lost again. This option is a little more expensive, but will work right away. Check out a site like to hopefully find what you need. The older your unit is, the less likely you'll be able to find it even from a site like this, but it's worth a shot!

Best method for connecting rear speakers yourself

The other wires in the back by the speakers are NOT speaker wires. It is possible to cause a short circuit in your car and or damage your unit by hooking up the wires from stereo to non speaker wires. Smoke from the dash is never a good sign. Hopefully nothing is shorted. These are the correct wire diagrams for your car. Hook them up just as described and you will have sound in no time:) If there is no sound check all fuses. Hope this helps.......Let me know what happens.......GOOD LUCK

Left rear (+) is Brown wire. Connect that with the Green wire.
Left rear (--) is Yellow wire. Connect that with the Green/Black wire
Right rear (+) is Dark Blue wire. Connect that with the Purple wire
Right rear (--) is Light Blue wire. Connect that with the Purple/Black wire.

Parking Brake Bypass

You need the remote to do the code thing, or try hooking the parkbrake sensor up to full time power to trick the unit into thinking that the parkbrake is off. Try that and see how you go. If it doesnt work that way, try taking it to full time chassis(earth)

Jensen VM9511TS : Doesn't take in discs

It sounds like a mechanical error. It's not a quick fix. You (or more likely a repair shop) would have to pull the transport and reallign a bunch of parts and possibly resurface the rollers. It's a GIANT pain in the @$$.

Place DVD in player, when you hear sound press stop twice.  With the remote key 26604 then ok, make sure you have grounded the brake wire.  You will now have video all the time.
