My dyson picks up but nothing is in the canister

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your Dyson. From what you've described, it sounds as if there is a blockage somewhere between the cleaner head and the clear bin, which is preventing debris getting into the bin.

The easiest way to check for and remove and blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

It's also a good idea to give the filters a wash - in normal use, this should be done at least once every 3 months, as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for them to dry completely before replacing them.

Our dyson dc07 is picking up but air not coming out off handle vent so suction is under par , any ideas ?
