I have been printing large amounts of reports recently that went through fine. Now the 4si keeps jamming everytime. I am clearing everything out...making sure there are no "pieces" left behind, but still it is jamming as it is just coming out of the tray.

I have the same problem....
trying to use lubricants and done some cleaning, but no luck... till i
found out that using an extension cord with several devices plugged in
will lessen the amount of current that flows to the devices.. that's
why the printer's motor can't able to do his job because of no enough
power.... Connect the printer's plug directly to the wall...
Print a self-test report
Use the following steps to print a self-test report.
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
Press Setup , and then press 2 . The Print Report menu displays.
Press 1 to select and print a Self-Test Report .
IMPORTANT! Try to print a self-test report after every solution even if the solution resolves the issue.
Solution one: Clear the paper jam
Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the paper jam.
Step one: Remove loose paper from the tray
Remove any loose sheets of paper from the input tray and the output tray.
Do not remove jammed paper at this stage. Trying to clear jammed paper from the front of the product can damage the print mechanism
I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps.Bud
Its probably not picking up paper from that tray, thus the jam error. For me that is typically because the tray isn?t pushing the paper up high enough to be caught by the pickup roller or the pickup rubber band is worn.
