My partner bought a Vason 10.4" Tablet DVD Player last week on EBay, we wanted it for a trip we were going to Belgium for my 3 year old to watch, Stupid me went and plugged it into the lighter and it was on charge and fused the cigarette lighter in the car and we had just bought the Europe Maps for our Tom Tom, so that never went down too well. Then I went and let my little one watch Ruby & Max I had put onto a USB to watch in his room, must have been for about 10 minutes and he had a go at me, so I took it off him and put it away. Then this morning my partner was taking the little one swimming and we set it all up and tried to put a disk into it and it won't go in, I've been trying to find out if my little one put anything into it, but not getting any sensible answers, any suggestions would be really helpful.

...be sure you are in the same zone as the DVD was designed for. The world seems to be divided in numerous zones, and DVD'S from one area will not work from another area. That is why one should not buy equipment when one goes on vacations !
I had the EXACT same thing happen with my 2 year-old and our 2006 Odyssey last week! I drove to the dealer today to have them remove it and after banging hard on the side of the DVD player for several minutes, they said it was really stuck and I would have to pay $400 to have the DVD player removed and sent to a repair center. What!?!?!
I came home and decided to try the tweezer idea. I am not handy and I'm eight months pregnant so I couldn't get as close as I would have liked to the DVD player but as soon as I propped the little rubber doors open with the tweezers to take a peek, I saw both DVDs!! I pulled the top DVD out in about 3 seconds. I then turned my car on and the second DVD popped right out!! :) I put the DVD back in to make sure everything worked and it did. I CANNOT believe I was considering spending $400 AND be without a DVD player for weeks while they shipped it off. The DVD I pulled out has a scratch from where the tweezers were holding on to it but it's on the very outside of the DVD and if I do need to replace it, ... we're talking $10-$20 rather than $400 . Sooooo glad I didn't listen to the dealer this time!!! :)
my less than 2 yrs. old hardly used Samsung plasma is turning off automatically for no reason within 10m minutes of watching. What could be the problem??????????
Try cleaning the lens yourself. Before taking drastic measures as replacing stuff, try cleaning the lens on the DVD/CD Drive. You will need to open the unit and also open the DVD/CD case. Make sure you do this while the unit is unplugged from a power source. Locate the lens that reads a dvd/cd. Now get a cotton swab and moisten it with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and gently rub the lens clean...use the other dry end of the cotton swab to rub it as well. Try not to use too much alcohol on the swab and not too much force when rubbing. Let it dry for a minute or 2 and screw the unit back into 1 piece. Moisture, cigarette smoke, insence smoke, and dust can cause a barrier between the DVD/CD and the reading lens and by doing this you will either fix the unit or know that it is a problem that will need replacing. Good luck!e lens yourself manually
Change the TV. I had same problem since 3 years after moving from dubai to bucharest i believed that my home theater was damaged during transportation. I tryed all repair shops in my area but no luck, so i used it as a simple mp3 player at home.
Last week, after 3 years, i changed my old CRT tv with an LG LS3000 lcd tv and SURPRISE...my dvd have colours again.
Sorry to say but probably not worth the repair as I've seen 1 gig going lesss then what it would cost round trip for you to ship this one off to the repair dept?? I bought a 256 gig last week with a voice recorder for 12 bucks.
