I tried to print this morning, and the computer could not find the printer! I looked at the bottom right corner and the printer icon isn't even there anymore. Nobody has touched the computer since I was on and printing fine yesterday.
Troubleshoot said to uninstall and then reinstall the software. I tried, but it keeps asking me if the printer is plugged in. (It is, I checked everything).
It's not the printer, because I hooked it up to my daughters laptop and it printed fine. For some reason, my computer just suddenly stopped communicating with my printer.

Re: Fine one day, gone the next!
Check for viruses first, then try by reinstalling the drivers, if not solved go to device manager and check for usb printing support in usb , if you can see just uninstall it and reinstall the drivers for the printer, if still you have the same problem then try with another usb, post back your findings

turn printer off and delete print job from printer folder on computer. a small printer ikon should be visible on bottom right corner of windows screen. double click on this and delete print jobs in the box.
Go to the start menu and open the Control Panel. Double click on Printers. Right click the L7580 printer and choose "Printing Preferences" On the preferences window click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure "Advanced Printing Features" is set to "Enabled" Under "Printer Features" turn "Minimize Margins" to "On"
This should solve the issue. If minimize margins is off, it will cut it off at the bottom.
# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel. # Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right). # Continue doing this until it looks clean. # Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing. # Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.
1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier. 2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.
# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.
There is an icon in the lower right corner of your screen. It looks like a printer. Double click on that icon then right click on the print job then click no cancel. It should hang there are refuse to disappear. what you do after this is to turn off your printer then turn it back on then restart your computer. It should be gone after that.
