Hp laserjet p2055dn blank display

Similiar Blank Display solution from HP web site:

HP LaserJet P3005 Printer Series - Blank Display
ISSUE: Printer has a blank display.
SOLUTION:

Check if the printer is connected directly into a wall outlet. If not directly connected, power off the printer and connect directly to wall outlet.

Disconnect any local or network connection from any device and keep the printer connected with the power cord cable.

Power cycle the printer. If the issue persists, continue with step 4. If the printer powers up to READY, perform the following steps:

Print a configuration page and check the firmware version. If the printer does not have the latest firmware version, upgrade the printers firmware. Click here to see the latest firmware available for your printer at www.hp.com/go/support . Select Download driver and software (and firmware) and type in the product name or select the product from the product category list.

When the firmware upgrade is completed, power cycle the printer and print a configuration page again and check firmware date code, (it should change to the latest version) then power cycle the printer again.

If the printer powers up to READY, plug the local or network cable back in and print a Windows test page by printing from any application.

If the issue persists, continue with step 4 below.

Remove any additional memory DIMM installed (usually the LaserJet P3005N, DN and X come with a 32 MB memory DIMM installed), and any Internal EIO card or internal hard disk installed and then power cycle. If the issue persists, continue with the next step.

Perform a cold reset:

Turn the device off.

Turn the device on. When the memory count begins, press and hold the check button. Continue holding down the check button until all three device control-panel lights flash once and then remain on. This might take up to 10 seconds

After the message SELECT LANGUAGE appears on the display, press the arrow up or arrow down buttons until COLD RESET is highlighted.

Press the check button. The device performs a cold reset and then continues its power-on sequence.

If the issue persists, continue with the remaining steps.

If the printer powers up to READY, test the printer functionality by printing internal pages. Plug the local or network connection in and test the printer from the workstation.

If the issue persists without any internal device installed, the printer will require service.

Samsung scx 4321ns laser printer how to all memory reset key

Some products behave unpredictably when using off-brand toner cartridges or refilled/remanufactured ones. You may want to try using a fresh Samsung catridge too.

The only rest I'm seeing in the owner's manual is to unplug your printer at the wall. Most devices need just about a minute of time uplugged to reset. I normally would also press the power button while it's unplugged too.

I found a link for you to the ower's manual. I hope it helps you in the future. The owners manual can be downloaded here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201312/20131227145527765/EN/english.pdf

Hi, I have a problem with my printer... I refiled the cartridge and the computer says that is still empty. Sorry for my English.... Pls help me if you can...

Hi

Found this, think it's a good explaination.

"HP Printers internally keep track of your cartidges by a serial number embedded into the cartridge. When it's low, the printer remembers. This is entirely done within the printer itself, and not the printer software. However, most HP printers will only keep 2 cartridges in memory, so if you have 2 extra cartridges, (even empty ones) you could cycle them through to reset the printers memory, and reset the ink level to full. Basically, even though you've refilled your cartridge, the printer has the cartidge's serial number stored in memory. This will reset it."

Hope this helps

When Faxing says memory low

The internal memory is full

1. Turn the printer off
2. Hold down the right arrow and the cancel button
3. Reboot the printer while holding the buttons and hold until permanent storage is displayed. Let go of the buttons and wait for the ready message on the display.

This reset will clear all of your saved settings and contacts,

if networked print out a configuration report after resetting the printer to view the ip address (IPV4). If the IP address has changed you will need to update the print driver's port tab and update the port.

I can simplify if needed

ERROR SERVICE 49.FF95 IS COMMING

ust had one here do the same - it came in with a blown out fuser sleeve where the ends shredded as the heater strip's slick surface went dull (coating wore off on the ground end, caused to to stop while the rest of the sleeve turned and twisted the snot out of it) so I never ran it before I rebuilt the fuser and this is a rare one where the heater has to be replaced. Inserted the rebuilt fuser, got the 49.FF95 error - looked it up and most tended to refer to doing a cold reset or replacing the formatter if that didnt get it. Tried the cold reset, nada. Ran an engine test, ran ok but still the error. Reseated the memory dimm - nada. Swapped position of the boot select jumper on the formatter - nada and swapped back with no change. Hmmm this is BS! Started wondering if my rebuild had something to do with it so I installed a temp RM1-1082 fuser and had the error also so time to focus on formatter (with the embedded POS Jetdirect). Read the above comments referring to the Jetdirect possibly being a cause but it's not connected, it's stand alone. Ok next comment says turn off the internal LAN - BINGO! Error gone. It's the embedded crappy Jetdirect. So I ran some prints, all fine. Re-enabled the internal LAN - error is back. Verified Jetdirect failure. Ok so I go bac to diabled, download the 08.015.0A firmware and send it via copy/b on a parallel. Firmware went through properly and took. Re-enabled internal LAN - still get the 49 error. Must be that the internal LAN is AFU. Turned it back off and inserted an EIO Jetdirect and all is well.

There is a large document stuck in the internal memory and need to get it out. How do you clear the internal memory? We have unplugged it ect.

Hi,
it seems you might need to rest the PC & the printer..
Once you have done that and assuming you are running Windows please do the following (while the printer is OFF)

1. Go to "Start"-> "Run"
2. Type: CMD
3. press "Enter"
(now you should be in a DOS terminal window)
4. type: net stop spooler
press "enter"
5. type: net start spooler
press "enter"
6. type: exit
press enter

Turn on the printer...you should be clear now :)
Cheers,
Ed

My HP LaserJet 6p is not printing/communcating sudenly from/with Word, and the system reports low memory in the printer. Could you, please, advise, what can help here? Thanks and best regards, Martin P.

First thing I would try is a cold reset. Steps are here:

HP 5P & 6P
Cold reset:
Turn the power off and hold the reset button (button closest to the back of the printer) for LESS than 20 seconds while turning the printer on.
Reset the NVRAM:
Turn the power off and hold the reset button for MORE than 20 seconds while turning the printer on..
If your still having an issue, unplug the printer overnight.

Please get back to me if this does not resolve this.

Right cartridge incorrect" and "Left cartridge incorrect

Many newer HP Printers internally keep track of your cartridges by a serial number embedded into the cartridge. When it's low, the printer remembers. This is entirely done within the printer itself, and not the printer software. Some printers EXPIRE the cartridges after 18 months according to the installation date even it is not empty.

Outrageous, but true.

A fix? Most HP printers will only keep 2 cartridges in memory, so if you have 2 extra cartridges, (even empty ones) you could cycle them through to reset the printers memory, and reset the ink level to full. Basically, even though you've refilled your cartridge, the printers has the cartridge's serial number stored in memory. This will reset it.
