You have a bad door switch, look around the frame where the doors close onto, you should see a switch, push it in and see if the lights go out,if they don't change out that switch.you'll need to give the parts store the model number that's in the machine and they'll give you what you need.if the lights shut off when you push in the switch then your doors are not closing correctly, remove the bulbs for now,i've seen plastic parts inside the machine melted from the lights stating on,those bulbs are the same as the kids easy bake ovens and the heat will do damage

Dometic refregerator 2652, the inside refer. light and the check light on the front blink when i open the refrigerator door. then stops a bout 20 sec. after closing the door

Sounds like a possible loose connection somewhere that is shaking when the door is opened. Check the main plug/power connection to the refrigerator for corrosion or just looseness. The inside light is controlled by a door switch so you may have a connection problem there also.

Door will open will not close

Hello,

The door on a refrigerator is an important component to the over all functionality of the refrigerator. A simple refrigerator door repair can potentially save hundreds of dollars in energy every year.
Check the Hinges
A misaligned door hinge can release cold air from inside the refrigerator, causing it to run less efficiently. If the door doesn't shut evenly it could be a problem with a hinge. The easiest repair for this is to simply tighten the screws that hold the hinges. If this doesn't solve the problem try to see if the hinges are level. You may need to replace the hinges all together.
The Door Gasket
The rubber piece that circles the entire door serves a purpose more than just helping the door close quietly. It should form a seal that maintains the temperature inside the refrigerator. If the gasket is cracked or warped you will need to replace this. Find the model number for your refrigerator and you can find the right gasket. Some gaskets are simply put on with adhesives, others require clamps or screws.
The Light
If you have a faulty door switch, the light may stay on in your refrigerator. This wastes valuable energy. To check this simply find the switch and press on it with the door open. Sometimes a thorough cleaning of the switch can fix the problem.

By maintaining your refrigerator door and making the necessary repairs you can save yourself a lot of money in lost energy costs.

I hope this help in solving the problem....

The light is staying on when the doors are closed

Press the door swtich inside the fridge. If you press the door switch close and the lights still don't turn off then you have a faulty door switch. They are cheap to replace.

Refrigerator inside light will not go out when door closes

This can be due to one of two things, either the door is not hitting the light switch when it closes or the light switch is bad.

Locate the switch, it is usually on the top of the cabinet inside the refrigerator, push the switch, if the light does not go out then the switch is bad, if the light goes out the door needs adjusted so it will hit the switch when it closes. Typically this can be done by loosening the hinges and holding the door in place while someone tightens the hinges back up.

Door sensor is not working, inside light stays on

This may be a simple switch with corroded contacts. Try this:
Locate the button that controls the light and depress it fully, then let it fly out, snapping it several times to see if it will clean itself up.
If not, it will have to be replaced and this with varying degrees of difficulty depending on how it is mounted.
Since it is a Sears brand appliance, go to the Sears parts department on line and enter your model number. Nearly all Sears/Kenmore appliances will be listed (among with many other brands) and there will be an exploded line drawing of the device that will help you locate what must be removed for this replacement. You can also order that part while you are there if you decide to replace it yourself.

Our side by side freezer door opens slightly

That is a common occurrance for side by side refrigerators. Closing the fresh food door is like having your car windows closed and closing the door. You can feel the air pressure on your ears. In the refrigerator, the air passes through the duct and into the freezer pushing the door open. The magnet on the door gasket should keep it closed. But it may be the freezer door needs the hinges adjusted to the door seats better when closed. Take the plastic cover off the top hinge and you can loosen the screws (don't take them out) and adjust the door slightly (so it looks even between both doors) and tighten the screws up. The top of the door should be level with the top of the unit, and the gap between the doors even the whole way down.

Kenmore refregerator lights on/burning even doors are closed

If I understand correctly, you have the bottom freezer with the two doors that open into the fresh food section. Also you have to open one of the two doors first in order to get into the fresh food section. If i ma correct. The switch on the door you have to open first to get into the fresh food section is bad. This is why it makes not difference if you hold both in. The switch on the second door does something else. You will need to replace the switch that the first. You can test this switch by, take the switch out. They are tricky to get out. Take a putty knife and slide it under one end of the switch, push in while you are prying outward. It should pop out. There should be three wires going to the switch. One of the wires is hot (110 Volts), one goes to the fan inside the fridge and the other goes to the light. (The switch operates like this. When you close the door, it turns the light off and the fan on. When you open the door, it turns the fan off and the light on.) Once you find out which one is hot, connect one of the others to it. If the fan comes on try connecting the hot to the other wire. The light in the fridge should turn off. If so replace the switch. I hope you can understand the way I tried to explain.
