I have a Hunter fan with remote and the light flickers without coming on completely - and you can hear a clicking noise coming from the fan. The fan works and the bulbs and batteries were changed

The pins inside the remote could have been switched or the wiring inside the fan could have come loose. Check the wiring at the fan first. The vibrations of the fan could have worked the light conrol wire loose.

Did you make sure the fan speed switch is set on high? Also, double check the remote wiring to make sure the fan wire is not disconnected. There's no such model # for hunter as 9308R!

52 inch hunter ceiling fan with remote, making clicking noise

does the fan wobble at high speed? if so change the order of the blades to try & balance it.i.e. number the blades on a piece of tape on each--switch blade # 1 & #3-better or worse? 2&5;better or worse?etc. untill it runs smoothest.

make sure you have the remotes/receivers set to different jumpers. I installed 2 fans and had the same problem, just had to change the jumpers on one of the fans and the corresponding remote

Hunter ceiling fan remote problem

You will most likely need to replace the receiver with a new one from hunter. The receiver is actually a complete controller and contains the receiver, relays (which you hear clicking) and starting condensors(large capacitors which hold a charge that is "dumped" over the windings to get the motor to start from a dead stop). These appear to be pretty tightly assembled unless you have a desire to start replacing parts "off the board."

If it is tripping the breaker it has a serious load on it! You either have a dead short, like a wire being pinched by the cover, or pinched against the box or something like that, or a bad receiver. I really doubt that this is a receiver problem though. That would mean the load is all from the fan, and something would be smelling hot. If it tripps the breaker without the fan trying to come on, I would just about guarantee that a wire is being shorted to ground somewhere.

check your remote sensor inside the fan housing and make sure it's wired properly. Sounds like the solonoid is not wired correctly to the light. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Sounds like the remote receiver units (located where the mains connect to the fans) took a surge and have failed.
