I tried what u said about pointing the remte in front of a digicam, i didn't see any red light, does it mean i have to buy a new remote.Because when i'm opeing the console the remote works, it's just that i need to press the power hardeder?

  • afpc_999 Oct 11, 2010

no it's not for a particular game, because everytime i open the consule it asks me to press A on the remote to continue, then asks the systems language then it stops from there,so that's why i can not continue

Is this the only instance that cursor is not responding? Have you tried to restart the console? Also try removing the batteries in the remote, put them back after 30 secs.

Try this:
Hold the Wii Remote with the button side down. Without using much force, firmly tap the button side of the remote against the palm of your other hand a few times. Doing this does not take a lot of force, so be sure not to tap the Wii Remote very hard. Check for proper response.

Good Luck!

Is this the only instance the remote does not respond, only on the language settings? What about on other use?

Check if the infrared is working. Get a digital camera, look through a digital camera and point the remote control towards you. Press the buttons, you should see a red light. If you dont, then the remote is dead.

This Language Settings, is this for a particular game? Try other games if problem is the same otherwise this particular game disc is defective.

Okay, this is a sensor bar related issue.
Check this link out from Nintendo.

No cursor/hand appearing on Choose Language screen

Are you sure you have put that "bar" included in the box above your tv in the middle, and fully wired? Because that is what you need to be able to have your cursor on your tv screen when your wii is on. Stupid or not, also make sure the batteries are put in it the right way, that you get blue light flashing out.

Controller & two player mode problem whit Wii Sport Resort

I had this problem and it was down to be, me plugging the motion plus into the wrong controller.
I have one control with intergrated motion plus and the other uses a plug on motion plus. I accidently plugged the plug on one into the already intergrated control leaving the one control with nothing. Hence that control could not be recognised.

Can not get past language screen

We had the same issue. Select your language first by pointing the controller and hitting the "a" button. Then, point the controller down to the bottom of the screen. There is a "confirm" or "OK" at the bottom right of the screen that you can't see.
